I must agree with the piece of semen here Flashy. Bute was getting rocked by short choppy rights. His punch resistance is definitely a concern as is his defense and inside game.

I must agree with Flashy, des.

Bute took a surprising number of crushing shots from Froch, before he finally succumbed. If anything, that fight proved he has an excellent chin.

In that 2nd round, IIRC he got hurt by short shots. They looked like arm punches during the midst of exchanges. Nothing that looked particularly damaging. That was the beginning of the end. It seemed like everything Froch landed hurt him. It was after that that Froch started to tee off. You are right that he did take a good amount of punishment after that, but the shots that hurt him initially were surprising.

I would not say Bute has a decent chin, Froch has not stopped any legitimate 168lbs top fighter at all, and Bute was not only stopped, but he crumbled under Froch punches and never recovered.

Librado Andrade knocked him out, guys... Librado ****ing Andrade.... I wish Bute the best, but his chin is quite atrocious.

I know where you're coming from but, at the same time, Froch has been fighting at such a high level that it is very hard to hit his opponents flush on the chin so he can knock them out. Out of his top tier opponents, when was the last time one of them knocked out an opponent of similar status?

Bute's lack of defence was the real surprise for me. Froch just walked him down and ****ed him up with a lot of flush shots. I'm not saying Bute has a great chin but an accumulation of damage may have been a big factor.

I don't think that Ward has a far better chin than Bute yet he knows how to pick shots , duck them , fight inside, etc unlike Bute who doesn't know this craft .
