Bute on the verge of signing 3 fight agreement with Showtime

Stieglitz is WBO champ. Green is **** and Johnson it's his sparring partner and friend you can see this in fight camp 360 ep8 and the end of the Bute vs Andrade 2 when Bute thanks him. Bute trained with Johnson for his last 3 fights. I'm thinking they don't want to fight each other. If Johnson loses against Green he'll go back where he belongs (175)

 

I'm not a big fan of Green but Showtime seems to be. He's a recognizable name for Showtime fans, I can see him facing Bute if he were to lose a competitive fight with Johsnon.

Johnson and Bute being friendly makes it a bit trickier but its happened plenty of times in the past. Johnson belongs at 175 but who does he fight there? Cloud already beat him and is probably in no hurry to do it again. Dawson beat him twice and Pascal is tied up with Hopkins and probably Dawson after that. There isn't a lot more at 175 for Johnson unless he can get a shot at someone like Brahmer or Shumenov but I don't know if Johnson can walk right into a title shot with one of those guys. A fight with Bute would be about as good as it gets for Johnson whenever Johnson gets knocked out of the Super 6.

I'd put Green and Johnson near the top of fighters that Bute ends up facing in atleast one of his next two fights.

 

I think there's a better chance that its going to look something like this:

1st fight: Stieglitz (Unification)
2nd fight: Losers from the S6 semi-finals (Froch or Abraham)
3rd fight: Winner of the Super 6.

 

They would be a great 3 fights!

 

I don't know if that will happen but I would be very happy.

That would be great but I have a feeling the American fighters will be given priority as it's being shown on SHOWTIME...not ARD, RTL SETANTA, etc..

Stieglitz already refused more than once to fight Bute and he brings nothing for SHOWTIME to favorably showcase him (his name recognition & belt not being relevant to the American market). Froch or Abraham certainly but I think Dirrell will be favored if he's ready and they have the choice !!
