I was just joking around but from what I heard that's the size of the ring Bute uses in sparring.

Bute will destroy Pavlik. Its a very stupid fight but I guess Pavlik is trying to cash out and Bute is definately a big name. Specially in Canada.

    Bute by late round TKO.

Kelly has provided numerous memorable moments, but I think Bute is a bridge too far.

The only guy I see beating Lucian (at 168 or 166--whatever) is Andre Ward, and I consider that fight close to a "pick em" bout.

I know you were joking, but when I read that it drew a mental image of what Kelly and Lucian in a 12' ring might actually look like: short, brutal, and bloody.

I think Kp can make 160 still...if the reports are true that he just had a lazy camp than no problem hitting 160

The only reports that said he had a "lazy camp" are the reports you pulled out of your ass.

see...i can't argue that bute won't win w/ a late round tko. it would be stupid to argue against that. the thing is, if it gets into the late rounds, that's not all that good for bute either. for all his attributes, bute gets hit. even as he was pummeling andrade he was taking some good shots as well. andrade landed several flush right hands in the fourth round of the second fight even as he was getting waxed himself. kelly's right hand is much heavier b/c of the way he throws it, imo. if kelly can find the mark, which he should since lesser fighters have, bute is gonna have his hands full.

This is from February 2002. If we look at Pavlik in this fight, and compare it to recent fights at 160, it's kind of hard to argue against moving up. It's probably been a long time since KP was a real middleweight.

I noticed his over all physique, muscle tone, skin tone, and hand speed more than anything else. A dehydrated, weight drained fighter has a certain look about him. In Pavlik's case, he fought his next 11 fights above the middleweight limit, and that "look" started showing up at 160 as early as the Zuniga fight in 2005.

No -- but if you want to see some funny looking ****, look at the fights from the period when Pavlik had his hair died bright red!
