Bute's management would have to be out of their f*cking minds to accept a fight with Ward in Oakland.

I deliberately omitted Sartison. That was a good win. Haussler was a mismatch. That was clear before the fight.

    Yes. Kessler's resumé sh!ts all over Bute's.

Mendy is a mando. He has to take that fight or be stripped.

Before labeling me as a nutthuger remember that what I present you here are hard facts. They canot be denied. Also remeber he had only 3 optional defenses and he was froze on the outside of a tournament that stoled 8 possible opponents for 1 year and still going.

Big Fights that Bute could have done at his natural weight(168lbs) :
    Calzaghe
    Kessler
    Froch

Is not like he had so many oportunities. Calzaghe was a huge name having in mind big fights like a 168 WBA/WBC/WBO unification with Kessler, and fights against Johnes Jr. and Hopkins when Bute was champion for only 1 month prior to the big unification bout. To have a comparation with this moment is similar to thinking that Hopkins would reather have a fight with Shumenov instead of the big fight against Pascal.
Kessler was having Mogens Palle as promoter who was treating him as a cash cow and almost blocked the Calzaghe fight from happening, he also backed him out of US Tv exposure fight with an Edison Miranda for a shot at the vacant WBA title against Sartison , Palle had the right to choose 3 fights(Danilo Haussler,Mads Larsen,Gusmyl Perdomo). After these fights and after changing promoters Kessler joined the Super Six.
Bute was about to sign a deal for fighting Froch in Nottingham for a IBF WBC unification, about 2-3 months prior to the Super Six World Boxing Classic announcement. Now think... how much time would it take for a negotiation with 6 fighters for a tournament ? ...when the negotiations for only a single fight between 2 camps takes somewhere between 2 weeks and 1 month.

Promoter Mick Hennessy is now set to bring Canada-based IBF champion Bute to Nottingham and said:

Kessler doesn't. All you're basing that on is his Champion Emeritus status... like that matters to Showtime.

HBO is dictating fights that force sanctioning bodies to strip champs. Contractual HBO issue with Pascal (-Dawson II), and HBO forcing Martinez to fight Dzin and not Zbik so the WBC will end up stripping him. Do you seriously think Showtime will be happy to give another $2M to Bute so he can fight a guy who proved clearly inferior to Bika? Wake the **** up. If HBO doesn't care about mandos, neither does Showtime.

If the WBC orders a fight between the S6 winner and Kessler right after the tourney is over, the winner will have to make a choice just as Pascal has to. Fight Bute (who'll probably get stripped because of Showtime) as per the contract or be sued. Fight Kessler or be stripped. Nice one.

The only kicker here is if the IBF decides to order another title eliminator fight in which Mendy would have to win via something else than DQ. Dirrell is right behind him in the rankings, and will probably be coming back later on this year... would set up a Bute-Dirrell compulsory defence in the fall, which would in turn set the winner up with the S6 winner for early 2012 as alluded to by Bute.

Oh, and GTFO of here with Stevens. Interbox said Bute wouldn't fight Mendy because of the difference in class, and Mendy is your wild guess, but mentioning Stevens is totally unjustified and shows your bias against Bute.

Is Pavlik strictly an HBO fighter? Just wondering, since he's coming back at 168. :D

Pavlik doesn't have a TV deal, but after what happened against Martinez, I highly doubt his team will want him to fight Bute, who's pretty damn similar to Martinez except that he's much bigger and punches way harder.

Didn't HBO show Brinkley who's a mere clubfighter? And now Showtime screens Magee dont they? This was 2 volontary defenses. Now the mando is coming up. Why do you think this will stop now?

Strange point of view. Do you suggest that the super 6 winner retires just after the tournament because no one earns a shot at him?

The winner will have to face somebody. Why not Bute? Don't you want that fight?

I think I speak for everybody when I say that I'd love to see Bute face the supersix winner. Definetely.

Still I think he should qualify by beating one of the semifinal losers and/or the loser from the final first.

Bute and Interbox said multiple times they wouldn't fight Mendy. Of course, you know better than them... I hate when you make these kind of statements, as if that was sure just because it goes out of your mouth.

If he's assured to fight the super 6 winner, who will have 2 belts, why the **** would Bute keep his IBF belt if they force him to fight Mendy?

That's my opinion. As good as yours.
