Richard Steele would have stopped Bute. He was out on his feet.

    :huh

That's the only problem I see.. Bute will want to fight in Canada or Froch in Nottingham.. They should both fight in a neutral area such as somewhere in America..

Agreed.. No one else seems to think it'll be a close fight.. Everyone is picking a blow out one way or another.. Personally I have Bute edging Froch in a close decision, but Froch will be giving him hell the entire fight and has the power to really hurt Bute.. I don't see Bute playing around though as he did in the first Andrade fight where he got seriously hurt at the end.. If Bute fights smart, he can get a decision, but Froch will be on his ass like white on rice..

How is he glass-jawed? Because he got hurt against a powerful Andrade?

    Exhaustion.
    Not related to jaw.
But these morons will go on.

    Ignore.

To everyone saying that Bute is more skilled than Froch...I'm not so sure about that. Both guys have a very unorthodox style and Froch has seen (and defeated all but one) a variety of styles in the ring - Jermain Taylor (good counterpuncher with handspeed), Andre Dirrell (slick fighter with a good defensive game), Arthur Abraham (power puncher that fights in explosive bursts), and Mikkel Kessler (solid, well-rounded fighter with a lot of experience).

When I look at Lucian Bute's resume, I don't see that calibur of opponent...I see Librado Andrade and Edison Miranda (who was MUCH more "shot" than Jermain Taylor was when he fought Froch, for those using that argument...). While both are good wins, both guys have a similar style (big on power/heart, durable, small on movement/defense) and don't have the championship experience that Froch's opponents have.

Even though Froch is known by some people as a fearless, plod-forward brawler, he has boxing ability that he shows when he has to do so. Watch the Arthur Abraham fight - Froch didn't walk in and brawl with a guy known to have explosive KO power. He boxed him, and in the process made it look easy.

I would still make this a 50/50 fight, but those saying that Froch isn't in Bute's class need to convince me it's not the other way around.

Bute sees to have simmilar qualitys as the ones that beat Froch or were inches away from beating him.Not only that but he got something that those didn't a devasting knock out punch, a deadly weapon fast in exacution " The Uppercut " .

One thing I will say for Bute is that being a southpaw might also help him...and if you watch Froch's fight with Dirrell (a southpaw), Froch did have some trouble with him. Now Bute isn't nearly as slick as Dirrell IMO and gets hit a little more easily, but he is still an awkward southpaw which may play to his advantage against Froch. He also (I don't really need to say this) has a lot more power than Dirrell, so if he can make the shots count he could do very well (he'll have to REALLY make them count since Froch has a durable chin).

    I still call it 50/50.

Bute is a nobody. Froch shouldn't even give him the time of day.

It would probably be hard for Bute to land a uppercut to the chin on Froch but not so hard to land it to the body. Thinking that Froch was complaining about the body shots against Kessler who I don't know if he ever had a Ko'ed some1 to the body, I'll say Bute has better chances the you think.
It's Strenght (Bute being one of the best best bodypuncers in the game) vs Weekness (Froch being suspected _by me_ of being weak to the boddy). It's also bad footwork vs good footwork. Froch is also slower than Bute.
