This doesnt mean anything. Look how easily Lacy demolished Reid while Calzaghe struggled with him. Styles make fights. Bute hasnt faught anyone of note and doesnt deserve his place at no.1. Ward is a hype job aswell.

Yes, and for a supposedly top level boxer Bute's resume is just embarassing

Froch fought Magee when he was 30 and in his prime. Bute fought a 35 year old shot Magee 5 years after Froch put him in the hospital.

And the judges card was really close! if it wasn't of the BS calls from Froch referee the card would have been dead even on 2 judges card and one judge would have it for Magee! Before the brutal stoppage ( yes it was brutal ) ! Magee won one round agains't Bute though!

No one puts Bute number 1. What are you talking about. About 95% of his fans put him in third place. Does it seem too high for you? If yes why?

Magee is not shot and is a better boxer now.

I have seen people on here claim he is No.1. He is more deserving of no.3. Froch has also improved alot in the last 5 years and Magee was never a good boxer. When Froch faught him it was for a british title, which is Magees level. He is in no way a world class fighter.

Sure Ward beat Bika 120-108, 118 - 110 :hat The scoring in that fight really was a joke:D

How can he be top 3?

IMO Ward is on top followed by Kessler with Froch third.

Kessler has been inactive for almost a year. I wouldnt rank him top 3 myself, but its more realistic than having him ranked at no.1. Rankings are all objective anyway.

I like Froch and would be rooting for him but I think Bute beats his pretty convincingly :(

You can say he fights bums & ect but Bute is the type of Boxer that would give Froch fits.

Some may put Bute at #1 spot but they are not the majority, far from that.

Yes...that is a fair opinion. The ONLY controversial decision about this fight is that the ref didn't stop the fight as Bute was out on his feet.

The ref could have stopped the fight indeed. But let's face it, how many times a ref stops a fight without the fighter being hurt? Not many. Against Chris Henry, Diaconu was exhausted at the end of the fight, he barely stood on his feet. The ref didn't stop the fight.

Bottom line: it was a decision based on the ref judgment. Wright is a former boxer and he was in the ring, just beside Bute. What followed proved that he was right. Bute's health was just fine.

Where will all the canucks turn when Bute gets trashed by either top SMW, and Pascal loses to Hopkins a second time? :think
