Does Bute really want to meet Kessler?

Right now, I think he does. Taking on Kesslers opponent is a clear sign of the future. However, since I think that Andrade will win this through stylistic advantage, I am not so sure it will happen right away - maybe not at all.

If the fight ever took place it would probably require Bute going to Denmark. Kessler's done his share of traveling and is pretty much the heir to Calzaghe's throne at 168 so he would have little reason to venture out of his homeland.

In an interview a couple of months ago, Bute said he intended to have a dash for the No.1 spot in the division. I think he thinks he is ready now, but Andrade will tell us and him how ready he is. Andrade gave Kessler a very hard fight, even though Kessler won almost every round. Andrade has improved a lot in the meantime and will be even better against Bute.

I think Kessler and Bute will fight in 2009; it's a no brainer - if Bute beats Andrade, this fight will happen! The fight will not be in Denmark because it would have to be staged at peak US time, so it will be either in the USA or in Montreal, with Showtime or HBO picking up the tab.

    Go, Bute!:happy

I don't think the money is there yet for a fight this big. Bute will have to fight US opponents on US tv a few more times before one of the big tv network will be willing throw enough money to make this fight happen.

    Just my 0.02$.

I think you're right, Maxime! If Bute beats Andrade, I foresee a double date on US TV involving Taylor and another US fighter, with the winners facing each other. Late 2009 for Bute and Kessler to fight, at the earliest.

Andrade will always be an extremely hard day at the office for any fighter irrespective of who it is. It is imo, difficult to say if Bute will do better or worse than Kessler against Librado.

Does Bute want Kessler? Yes, I think h does and it would be a hell of a fight.

Well, it's an excellent fight, but Bute has to fight Andrade first and we'll see the differences between the two champs in that fight. Mikkel won every single minute in every single round. IMO it will be hard enough for Bute just to barely beat Andrade. I don't see a total domination coming. Of course Kessler has to KO Haussler as well, then why not THE unification in the weight-class that matters?

    Kessler wide UD.

It wil probably be harder for Bute with Andrade than with Kessler cuz Librado has improved in the stable of Howard Grant

Kessler can't unify the regular WBA title.
