What are you complaining about? Bute knocked out Johnson in one round, then also stopped Jean Pascal in one, knocked out Lewis in 3, stopped Johnson again in 2, followed by a stunning 8th-round stoppage of James Toney.

Carl Froch's resume doesn't even come close to that.

Prime Bika, AndradeX2,Mendy, Magee, Brinkley, semiprime Miranda, prime Berrio, semi prime Joppy, and prime Zuniga are ALL quality if not high Bclass, low Aclass wins.

And brutally KOing a 50+ fight veteran in his 8th fight that Kessler fought just 18 mos prior in his 30th fight was the fight that sold me on Bute.

Yeah, he's got a few liabilities, but let's face it.....he offered BIG$$$$$ to get Pavlik, HUGE $$$$$$ to get Kessler, and is licking his chops to get the s6 winner 3-6 mos after the career halting tournament is over. And let's face it.....that tournament halted more than 1 career.:deal

Who's that, and who has he fought????

 

1. Abraham - never defeated anyone at SMW
2. Pascal - green at the time + no top 10 win at SMW, Froch's backyard
3. Dirrell - actually outboxed Froch and made him look slow
4. Taylor - dropped him early, outboxed him and gassed
5. Magee - who won 3 to 5 rounds in the fight depending on how you scored it

S6 semi-finalist Johnson has got to come 6th.

 

-Pascal was weight drained it was his last fight at SMW
-Magee was close on card and Bute beet him more badly
-a lot of people say Direll got robbed and i can't argue and his biggest win was agains't AA by DQ :rofl

 

These are crocus best wins:

1. Abraham. Mostly because the way he did it on neutral territory too. He beat AA better than Ward or anyone else. Sure, AA didn't have a long SMS resume but Trinidad also had no Ms resume and some people still consider him a good win for Hopkins.

2. Pascal. This win looked really good before Pascal's last fight. it is still a top win.

3. Taylor. A tough fight where Froch fought overseas and experienced plenty of adversity. He overcame it all and defeated the hometown favorite.

4. Andre Dirrell. One of the original S6 combatants. So far he has not lived up to his potential, but he is dangerous to everyone! Carl won in a messy rubbish fight.

5. Johnson. Carl beat the old workhorse in a lackluster performance by both men. Johnson did what he could but even a uninspired Froch calmly cruised away from johnson. Several other fights are arguably as good or better, but I've put the old man at no 5 mostly on name recognition.

 

A problem for me is the Dirrell fight fight, which I dont feel Froch won.
