Bute v Dawson

For anybody who has brains . . . it's only logical to chose the fighter who's been fighting at 175 and with a 6 inches reach advantage over a fighter who's fighting at 168 . . . not unless the smaller guy has a very big skills advantage.

Decission or K.O. I'm with Chad Dawson.

 

I don't buy the KO/TKO hypothesis. It's unrealistic. Haven't seen one convincing argument yet. I think it's more likely that Dawson wins by wide UD than by T/KO and I think it's more likely that Bute wins by T/KO than Dawson by wide UD. Still, I think Dawson would win something like UD 115-112. But Dawson stop Bute...no way; very unlikely.

 

I'm not saying it would happen by K.O. or T.K.O. . . but I'm not counting out that possibility.

In my point of view it's more likely that a heavier guy with the 6 inches reach advantage will always have the bigger chance of making the K.O. or T.K.O. than the otherway around. :yep

 

Well, if you had to guess, then, yeah! But if you knew a lot about the fighters, you wouldn't go by what is likely from a theoretical point of view. Bute has a very good chin and is a counterpuncher. He is cautious and doesn't go crazy in there. Dawson's chin is not as good as Bute's. He wouldn't risk going for the stoppage against Bute when he could almost certainly win by a clear decision by boxing on the outside, staying out of trouble and not forcing anything.

 

Their is a possibility that Dawson can KO/TKO Bute. Dawson is no feather fister, he stunned Tomasz Adamek a lot of times and Admaek has an iron chin. Bute's defense is somewhat leaky, but very fexible. I like Bute, talented southpaw, with a lot of potential, but given Dawson's speed and power he will land those punches, and he's a very good body puncher as well, particulary that right hook to the body. I don't think Bute is ready for Dawson, not now.

 

He ain't ready and he'll never be ready for Dawson, unless his chin proves substantially less than very good. Don't want to labour the point, but I don't see the Dawson stoppage win.:good

 

Bad Chad by Destruction, Bute is a heavy footed bum. Dawson has to much everthing , he is the real deal.

 

Well believe or not . . . thinking fighters doesn't plan K.O.s and T.K.O.s but they take the opportunities when it comes in.

Bute CAN be stopped...by Kessler, for example. But Dawson? It's a style thing, you know...
