Yeah, who would have beaten him? Andre Ward, maybe?

 

I have Calzaghe ahead at the minute based on beating Kessler, beating Hopkins (especially considering what Hopkins went on to do) and becoming undisputed SMW champ.

If Froch were to beat Kessler and Bute, I'd make it very close possibly favouring Froch on having more high quality wins than Calzaghe. Should he rematch and beat Ward (which is very unlikely) then I'd defo have him ahead.

 

If Froch does take on Kessler next, and it ends up a right bruising encounter, then maybe Bute getting his rematch after isn't such a barmy idea.

 

Froch is the man! No-one even gets near him for his attitude towards fighting the best and proving himself, imagine if everyone was like him, British boxing would BOOM there would be no issues with TV coverage etc, they would all be fighting each other to show it.

Read in Boxing News the other day that Kessler was asking for 'crazy money' and that they were thinking of bringing Pavlik over.

 

Calzaghe would have easily dealt with Ward. His work rate alone would have been too much for him. Look how badly Ward was fading against Froch.

 

No SMW over the years would easily deal with Andre Ward.

 

Froch and clazaghe on ringside next week, hopefully an announcement will be made then.

Pavlik fight proves nothing, dont like that fight never really rated him and since he was badly beaten by Hopkins he's looked even worse.

 

He's completely shot but I think we fans wouldn't complain with Froch having an easy fight given his run of opponents these last few years.
