If Bute wins, I hear they're having the decider in 2094 on one of Jupiter's Moons.

That's what i was thinking. Could be a bit dodgy for Carl.

Most people probably recon Bute will take something of a soft touch for his tune up. It;s possible he'll take someone at least half decent so if he wins it helps to build the rematch?!?

If it's Kessler first is Froch's belt on the line? What if Kessler wins the belt
does he then fight Bute or do Froch and Bute fight without a belt?

calzaghe lost to hopkins in my opinion? bika gave him serious problems, mitchell had him doing the funky chicken, robin reid could have got the nod, personally i think calzaghe would have outpointed froch comfotabaly but as a boxing fan id rather hand over my hard earned money to watch froch someone who isnt intrested in keeping his '0' or making a legacey he just wants to entertain his fans and be involved with big fights

    Who cares, mate.

This is thread is about the Froch/Bute rematch. Predicable it the soon became a caparison between Froch and Calzaghe, Now it is a criteria of Joe's performances. Good grief!

A young Calzaghe signed to fight Steve Collins. That is not protecting your '0'. Throughout his career Joe fought lots people that were, on paper, capable of beating him. He just didn't fight them in a sequence like Froch has. Not many people have.

I think people forget that on both occasions Mario Veit was Joe's mandatory. Mger Mkrtchyan was also Calzaghe's mandatory.

Likewise, Jesse Brinkley and Jean-Paul Mendy were mandatory challengers for Bute's IBF title.

When you make 5-10 defences of a title you have to face a dodgy mandatory. Froch has never been a champion long enough to face an average guy who somehow has earned a title shot.

Too right he is!!! I used to hate Froch with a passion and now he is probably my favourite fighter.

For the bute rematch would bute's promoter have to give Froch a nice big purse or would that have been agreed in the original contract?

Heard that Interbox has an option on the winner of Froch vs TBA.
