Bute v Pascal was a pitiful fight.

I can't believe I stayed up all night to watch these two also-rans pose and feint like mime artists for nigh on twelve rounds. It's as if they had a clause in the contract which stated they must not engage for anything more than three-second bursts.:rofl:patsch:dead

Is this really the pinnacle of Canadian boxing; an off-duty Haitian policeman versus a shot, balding David Duchovny stunt double?:rofl

Stick a fork in Canadian boxing. It's done.:deal

Yes, and if you factor Groves into the equation, Groves is basically a Canadian overlord after his thrashing of Froch. :deal

This is why we all miss Calzaghe.

It was a totally pedestrian affair.

Bute's level of confidence is that of Jeff Lacy's after the Super Joe thrashing. Perhaps that's why American hype jobs are avoiding traveling over the pond to fight The Special One like the plague because they would get a good Lacying or a good Buteing :arran

I'm also looking forward to Stevenson having his glass jaw shattered. Stick him in with Groves!! :toney:vonnecunt

I admire his spirit, and he has been in some epic encounters. However, his delusional bleating after the Groves fight has shown his true colours. He simply must rematch Groves to save face.

 that showed anything but his true colours. Froch is an immense warrior, who acted a total twat after the Groves fight

Like you say, he's given us, the fans, some truly epic fights

Not the best example of world class boxing but Pascal performed better than expected in my opinion. Its obvious Bute has some psychological issues he needs to still deal with post Froch. I've never been a fan of Joe Calz but i'd be the first to admit even at 175lbs Joe would have probably trashed these two…..

When you consider HBO opened 2013 with Provodnikov vs Bradley, this fight was a borefest in comparison and i doubt either will ever get showcased on HBO again.

The biggest losers of all were those poor Quebecer's who pay for such mediocrity-again.Can you just imagine the promoters and boxers laughing all the way to the bank after 20,000 paying fans were hoodwinked by thinking this was a real fight?Barnum and bailey were right when they said a sucker is born every minute.:-(
How about a rematch to double dip this market-a fools paradise!

Pascal carried the rusty and unconfident bute in hopes of getting a big money rematch. It's all about the Benjamins kids!
