Bute vs. Andrade: Did you see the wink?!

It wasn't a liver shot. It was a diaphragm shot. Which explains why he fell down immediately - because he couldn't breathe. A liver shot usually has a 5-10 second delay from when it hits to when the guy gets knocked down, because it results in back muscles seizing up. If you've ever had back spasms (or a charley horse), you know the phenomenon - at first it kinda hurts, but after you try to fight the spasm, the pain becomes unbearable and you're not able to move.

more telling than the wink was the 'whew' look he gave the ref a few seconds later, he was hurt

 

... and nobody paid me. If it was fixed, Andrade would not have winked. That should have been obvious to you. Anyway, Bute's fake bodyshot was pretty good.

 

I watched and zoomed in slow motion...The punch did not land...and you can clearly read on ANdrade's lips: "Ok i'm going down Lulu."
Then on another angle you can read Bute's lips:"Really? I thought that was me going down? Oh well nevermind".

Yep, classy fighters sometimes do give a wink if they are KD or hurt at the end of a round as a sign of respect to the other fighter.

I'm not a specialist of the matter, but when the mafia is involved, I think it's usually the favorite who gets paid to lose, not the underdog. They make more money that way. Just saying though...
