Bute vs. Dawson

I can see a Bute win by decision. Bute is more accurate than Dawson. He also has more heart and would take Dawson out of his comfort zone.

I can see it doesn't mean it will happen though. Dawson's reach would be a factor. If Bute had the same reach, I would not hesitate at all. Will Dawson be able to keep Bute at distance? Bute likes to box at range, he would have to find a way to reach Dawson. That needs a new strategy for him. He's a good student and Larouche a good teacher so it is possible.

Dawson, on the other end, seems to be the same boxer than he was 2 years ago.

i think anyone who says this is an easy fight either way knows nothing. Bute is the type of fighter who will most likely never be taken to school, he is just to good. that being siad at 175 it would be hard to pick bute. but it would sure as **** not be a schooling.

 

I'm a big Bute fan and I say this fight can go either way. I'll be rooting for Bute for sure though.

I think the hole cards for Bute are his power and his trainer. Stephane Larouche can devise a plan to beat a lot of people.

 

Why is that? Dawson has the better skills IMO. :think

 

Dawson by wide UD he's better than Bute in every department. With the lone exception being power where Bute has the slight edge.

I know Bute got put down heavily against Andrade and looked lucky but Im guessing Andrade could well hit harder than G Johnson who had Dawson in all kinds of trouble, and consider in Dawsons short career he has been put down 3 times.
Both good boxers but I feel Bute may just get to Dawson, especially if its at SMW

 

Are you kdding me? Andrade doesn't hit harder than Johnson. Not to mention Andrade had Bute in worse shape than Johnson ever did Dawson. Atleast Dawson was trying to fight back while Bute was running all over the ring on lazy legs looking for a place to lay down.:deal

 

I agree you do have a point about Bute on lazy legs, he was gone in that fight but I think Bute could take Dawsons shots better than Dawson could take Butes

For the power comparison, after watching Mack vs Andrade and Johnson vs Mack, they have pretty much the same kind power, even if Mack was down earlier vs Johnson.
