Just thinking about this it'd be a clash of styles in a big big way! Dirrell on the backfoot countering...Bute on the backfoot countering....who would mentally break and go on the offensive?
If it goes to mental break....I can have a guess here. I think both are nightmare muchups for eachother. I will favor Bute as he is more experienced and his power might get to Dirrell and brake him mentally and physically.
Maybe Dirrell's strategy will be to run a marathon of circles so he can hope for an exhausted Bute to just stand there, drained, in the 11th/12th like in Andrade I, and score the first legit points on the card --> win by a couple. :think Seriously though, maybe these two are on for April. A good test for Dirrell since Bute is the best combination of speed & power he's ever faced, and a good test for Bute since he hasn't fought exactly what we can call slick fighters. Who knows, maybe Bute will look slow in that bout. Another shocker?!? :bbb ...nah, Bute KO 8. :smoke
*If Bute doesn't ko Dirrel with that first hard punch , then... U can expect Dirrel to get on that bicycle ina boring match. Either way, Dirrel loses... plus, he might be damaged goods since AA. *Fight i'd like to see..Bute vs Froch... now that would be interessting.
Dirrell would have problems hitting Lucian clean, and once he felt his power he would be on the run. Lucian wins a UD, or late tko.
I think this fight is gonna happen in 2011 or dirrell vs kessler. I think dirrell would win UD....he would just be too fast for bute although bute would get some solid shots in
Don't count on Kessler coming back at all. And with Bute it only takes one solid shot. Anybody that can drop Andrade with 1 punch has serious power.
I think Bute would wear Dirrell out to the body, very good and accurate body puncher is Bute. When he takes Dirrells legs away he would finish him then. Good competitive fight though.
It wouldn't be exciting thats for sure, Bute seemed reluctant to step on the gas against Brinkley, so how more cautious would he be against a fast guy like Dirrell? it would most probably come down to who started to fall behind on the cards, the guy dropping rounds would probably take the lead and be more offensive. Bute is a southpaw, so I dont think it would serve Dirrell to let Bute back him up, as he would just look to dictate with the jab, counter off the front foot, Dirrell would probably try to use more movement to offset Bute, if that did'nt work I dont know what he would do, cause I couldn't see him backing Bute up and putting the pressure on him. One thing I forgot about, Dirrell cant fight both left and right handed, so god knows how it would go
That's the fight SHOWTIME would like to braodcast. If it can't be made in March, then expect it before August of 2011.
