Sorry if it's been done before (not seen it) but how do you see this one going? Two patient, techincally sound and athletic counter-punchers? Snooze fest or war? Will Bute out think, out discipline Eubank or get knocked out by "the best"?

I think Iron chinned Eubank would pick him apart and stop him in the late rounds

Only current middleweight or super middleweight I back to beat a guy like Eubank is probably Andre Ward. And it would be a real close fight.

Eubank's combo of skill, power and iron chin was a joy to behold

Hard to say Bute hasn't fought anyone as good as Eubank yet but I think he'd give him a fight alright.

So far I'd favour Eubank to be a little too tough and strong for Bute.

At his best Eubank would have taken Bute apart painfully. He wasn't at his best that often though.

:dealdamn good point and this is what i'm struggling with to. a motivated, on point and on form Eubank (from Benn 1 but 8 pounds bigger) is one of the best super middles ever. the one that fought collins the first time....that's another story

Exactly , Bute seems to have consistency where Eubank just didnt show up sometimes.

Best for best I go Eubank , but who knows maybe if he couldnt get to Bute he would grow frustated and switch off a bit.

I still think we've yet to see the very best form Bute too. On that point I saw a thread mentioning a possible move to 175 , i think thats a great idea he is wasting his peak waiting for the super 6 to dissolve.

Styles make fights; I'd have Eubank in a close one but Butes style would cause him trouble early on till Bute tired.

Ward would kill Eubank though. not that he would beat him he'd just spoil him to a UD. You know it, I know it, the whole world knows it.

Good post. I love Bute but the guy needs to step on the gas pedal. Fighting guys like Brinkley aren't going to test him to the limit. No offence, Brinkley's good but can't push Bute like he needs to be pushed.

Bute has the work rate to win a close SD (post Andrade 1 version) but I could see Eubank by late TKO.

yeah i could certainly see bute outhustling eubank here. chris was so gunshy post watson II and willing to coast to close decisions.

    I choose Eubank.
Against Bute I expect Chris to outpoint him, unless Bute gets him in trouble... than I expect him to T/KO Bute.

The biggest strength of a prime Eubank was that mauler of a right hand "half swing/half uppercut", but he only seemed to use/land it when he was in trouble.

Maybe , I need to see Ward fighting somewhere the ref aint letting all the fouling slide before i could agree for sure.

and as others have said it was best not to wake Eubank up if he wasnt in it , head butt him enough times and you might just **** him off enough to do some harm
