to touch a peak you need worthy opponents and good experience; age is not an important factor, i mean look at Sergio Martinez. you're pushing this definition into the territory of "would've been/could've been"
2 completely different fighters. Look at Frochs speed and workrate when he was younger. It was far better. Froch had alot of experience from his amateur pedigree and was a world bronze medallist. Froch himself said in the build up to his last fight that he feels like an old man. I dont think Martinez would feel that way (though dont know). Froch has taken alot of clean punches throughout his career, even at a lower level, which often tend to age a fighter
It does not mean it cant happen, i always liked Froch style for Bute. We could see either guys landing on there ass in there.
If people were disappointed with Dirrell, they sure won't be with Bute who, as per Carl's wish, 'comes to fight'. :hey
I would be amazed if Bute fought Froch in the UK Bute vacating &/or moving up to 175 seems much more likely
Nice fight. Winner challenges Ward. Froch is a real old school fighter. Any where any time. I've been a fan ever since the Pascal battle.
Winner versus Ward. Froch has grown on me over the Super Six. I really didn't like him until I watched him fight and on 360, but now I respect the hell out of him. I hope he KTFO Bute.
Damned tease. I thought both Bute and Khan were getting thier dates on today. That woulda made my day.:yep O well, best go back through the thread to troll the Bute haterz at haterz inc.:nono
Froch won't run and don't cover. He's getting KOd whether his chin is granite, iron, or china......it's getting cracked.:-(
Could be a great fight. I predict a close but clear loss for Froch, like he suffered against Kessler. Except we will get to see how he likes being tagged to the body. If Froch takes this fight, he will probably have the best resume for taking tough fights in recent memory.
