I think Froch will break his live attendance audience record with this one. They will probably sell at least 5,000 tickets in the first day they go on sale.
Agreed, for any boxer to make it big they need a certain level of support from casual fans. There simply aren't enough 'hardcore' fans to fund the sport in this country and at this level, but I don't think a 275m difference will make any difference. The people of Nottingham won't turn against Froch just because he fights at Meadow Lane. The City Ground would be everyone's preferred option, I'm sure, but there isn't really a heated rivalry to make it an issue.
The same people who would watch it at the City Ground will watch it at the County Ground. Or do you think it would be a different 15k people?
