60% of Bute's shots hit air. Another 30% were blocked. 10% landed cleanly but had no power.

Bute was afraid to commit, he looked like a teenage girl in there, until the last round.

 

Bute better not go anywhere near Froch again, he will get brutally beaten into retirement.

 

The Russian didn't land seriously.

 

Bute said he wouldn't be talking about a Froch rematch if he didn't look good tonight. We'll see.

 

I guess it was at least a brave performance by Bute, but he looked gunshy, and showed very little of the skill he was supposed to have had before the Froch fight. Basically, he looked exactly the same as he did with Froch. Whether he is now damaged goods, or a simple change of trainer is needed, he cannot continue on this same path, or else a Froch rematch is not even worth discussing.

As for the decision, with 1 American judge and 2 Canadian judges, the writing was always on the wall. I thought you could make a case for either fighter winning, and Bute winning 115-113 and even by 116-112 was within realm of feasibility. But 118-110 was just taking the ****, and that judge should be suspended pending review of his performance.

Bute edged it with better and more clean shots, Deal with it.

 

I personally think people who give only 115-113 for Bute or even better for Grachev are subjective.
I will watch it again but I doubt I can score better for the Russian than 116-112. The decision is ok.

 

I had Bute winning 7-5, but I was disappointed that it took him until the 12th to start fighting like that. That's how the whole fight should've looked, but the confidence just wasn't there for most of it.

 

Headbutts there were none, facts are Bute got hurt twice in the fight Grachev didn't get hurt once, damn you Bute fans are funny.
