Dirrell didn't fight since early 2010 and got nothing planned , he was suppose to fight Demers tonight but the fight got delay because Direll had an injury then they were suppose fight tonight but Direll say Demers got justice problems (wich it's true but he can still go to the US ) Demers say it's because it's Direll that cancel the fight because a close one as died so........

Surprised at that I thought it was quite a clear victory. 117-111

It was clear but close. Or close but clear.

Johnson faded too much at the end. Froch finally found how to fight him.

Bute easy win. Possibly late KO. He'll just catch Johnson rushing in with upper cuts all night long.

Yeah Bute vs Dirrell would be good and an elite win for the winner.

Has everyone forgotten Johnsons terrible SMW resume?
Just a note on G Johnsons SMW career -
In 13 SMW fights Johnson has lost 7 of them.
Johnson has lost at SMW to -

M Sosa who had 5 losses and 2 draws, and lost his next 2 fights after beating Johnson
Kiwanuka who had 3 losses and 2 draws, had lost his last 2 fights coming into his fight with Johnson and his fight after Johnson
Ottke 16-0 who in fairness was an outstanding SMW boxer
Vanderpool 27-1 who lost his next fight, but in fairness that was at MW to Hopkins and Vanderpool had a good run after
Branco 38-4-2 who was a world class SMW and became WBA LHW champ
Sheika who was 19-1 and lost his next fight, though in fairness that was to Calzaghe.
    Froch WBC champ

The SMWs that Johnson has managed to beat
Campas 3-20-4 coming off of only 2 losses and won his next fight
Watson 24-16-1, Johnson was his last fight
Renteria 9-23-5 coming in, whos last 10 fight record before facing Johnson was 0-8-2
Zimmerman 15-2-0 coming in, who had lost his previous fight and the one after
A Green 29-2-0 coming in and Johnsons biggest SMW victory

Its not impressive now is it. Please spare me the robbery talk.
If any rated SMW losses to Johnson it wont look good on their resume

A Green 29-2-0 coming in and Johnsons biggest SMW victory To think beating Green was all Johnson had to do to become a Ring rated SMW in todays ratings

remember also that Johnson has been beaten 15 times and drawn twice.

It should be very easy for someone with Butes ability, not even close

Whats Dirrell done thats elite? Dirrell has no big wins at SMW, his best is a DQ when out cold against a former MW who cant compete at SMW and is dropping back a division

You're intitled to your opinion about the first part of your comment. But you look like an idiot with your last phrase. There were far more bad local decision in your country than ours. Just think about Devon Alexander's last two wins. Williams-Martinez I, Cintron-Martinez...and it goes on.

Predictable comment from you. The stupidity continues. I'm still waiting to read a positive comment about anything from you.

Why didn't you ask what Bute has done that's elite?

    Well said.

Johnson does have a certain name cache, and I think that can only help bolster Bute's resume.

Ultimately, however, you are correct: we will never know for sure how good Bute is until he laces 'em up with the four fighters you mentioned. I would favor him to beat three of the guys on that list (Froch, Kessler, and Dirrell) and believe it would be a "pick-em" affair against Ward.

Bute has not faces a top 3 but has faced many top 5 to 15. Are you saying Dirrell's resume is strongest than Bute's? His only big win is against Abraham, who is not elite. After that ... Henshaw? Oganov?

Kessler was Bute's first pick for this fight. Johnson is a substitute. He's a good one but still that's what he is. While waiting for one of the big names.
