I look at Butes resume as a whole. This is how I see it and its alot higher up than what Dirrell has done

I know that was a bit long winded but thats why I dont think Dirrell would be an elite win when you look at the level people consider Ward to be and then can see Bute is arguably above

True. Bute wanted Kessler than Ward/Froch. Instead Kessler opted to turn down an estimated 4 mil to take Steiglitz, an estimated 1.5 mil.

So, Bute went for Pavlik then Ward/Froch. Instead Pavlik backed out turning down an est 3.5 mil for the Bute fight.

So now, it looks like Johnson who will probably be LUCKY to get 500K for his fight with Bute. Still a handsome amount, but it goes farther to show what pussies Kessler and Pavlik both are, and what a warrior Glen Johnson is.:good

How can Kessler who has fought so many top SMWs and fought away like he has, be considered a *****?
I doubt Kessler is scared to take on anyone,

Lucy wont fight Johnson anyway.. Lucys opponent will be someone like Les Sherrington who he wanted as his July opponent or Darryl Cunningham the guy who scared Pavlik..

A number of things I'd disagree with here:

1 Ward's win over Kessler is a very good win and I don't buy into this "unwell" thing. In the very next fight, Kessler beat Froch which is the biggest win of his career and looked good in his tune-up fight a couple months back.

    2. I'm not sure who puts Cloud ahead of Dawson but if they do it has nothing to do with Cloud's win over Zuniga, it has everything to do with Dawson losing to Pascal.

3 Abraham is a good win for Ward, Abraham has lost a lot of his luster but he's still a dangerous guy and I'm sure we haven't heard the last of him. All of Abraham's losses have been to good/very good fighters.

4 I'd absolutely take Ward's win over Kessler over Andrade, Mendy, Joppy, Zuniga, and Brinkley combined. Kessler was and still is a top class fighter who put a thrashing on Andrade. Joppy was an embarrassing fight and I'd try to bring that one up as little as possible. Zuniga was shopworn and doesn't do much and Mendy and Brinkley are only somewhat better. If you are a prospect those are nice wins but if you are a long regning champion they mean little(Andrade excluded).

At one time Bute was putting a solid resume together with wins over Bika, Berrio, and Andrade. Now he is beating up one B-/C level guy after another. Brinkley, Mendy, Magee, and a well past prime Miranda is not the kind of run a top rated guy should be on. You can beat these kind of guys inbetween big fights but they can't be all you've done the last 2 years.

Its unfortunate Pavlik pulled out because I think Pavlik could have been a real threat and a potentially good win for Bute, depending on what he has left. Now he's getting Johnson, nice substitute, but still not the kind of elite fighter Bute needs.

Alright. I take it back. He aint a *****, and neither is Pavlik, but it shows that they will take less or NO money in Pavs case to steer clear of being beaten badly by the VERY BEST!

You are right. Guys like that justify an endless amount of bute hate.

Because how can a fan of Bute who has fought entirely home fights and even amongst these home fights there is not a single top opponent.... how can a fan of such a 'fighter' call the fighter who has taken the most risks of anyone in the entire division ... Kessler... a *****?

Goes to show the outright dellusional stupidity of some Bute fans. They are starting to build a reputation as the most dellusional fans there is.

Well, since you are building a solid hater reputation, I think things equal thenselves.

Kessler is not a ***** but his promoter knows he's not the same fighter he was and will play his cards carefully.

Excuse me, who do you think would deserve shot at Super Six winner before Bute? And why this fight wouln`t be enough?

Ward, Direll and Abraham did not deserve to be in the tournament ahead of Bute in your terms.

Let`s show your inside reasoning for ennouncing that:

BUTE CAN BEAT SUPER SIX TOURNAY.THAT WOULD MEAN THE TOURNAMENT WINNER FOUGHT FOR ALMOST NOTHING SINCE HE CAN LOSE ALL THE NEXT FIGHT.SO, HE DESERVES TO MEET WEEKER FIGHTERS FIRST RATHER THAN A FOR YEAR LONG CHAMPION.

So, you people show the ultimate hypocrisy:You want to protect that winner(even for a fight or two) and cry lound in the same time : Bute is a protected fighter.

I ask you again : Who would deserve more than Bute to meet that winner if he beats Johnson?

It's what I'm asking everytime somebody says Bute is not "worthy" to fight the winner. In their view to be able to fight the S6 winner, you need to make another mini tourney to be "worthy", but what does the S6 winner do in the meantime?

So I agree with you, but that doesnt mean that Bute is the sole boxer that could be meaningfull in a post S6 fight. In fact, if Froch win, I'm pretty sure he will want a rematch in England against Kessler. If Ward wins though, I dont know who would be a better fighter to face than Bute.

1- He is still undefeated (not meaning 0 means everything, its just that being undefeated it gives anybody else a challenge to beat him).
2- He is exciting in his victory or in his struggle
    3- He bring some money
    4- He have a belt
5- it will answer all the questions about whos the real no.1

Without having anything against Kessler, at this time, with the victory Ward have against him, I dont really want a rematch between those two.

But a rematch between Froch and Kessler (weither Froch win or not the S6) or if some drama happen, a rematch between Froch and Ward is not out of question. In fact, with all the drama that happened in the S6 its a wonder it wasnt scripted in the first place and everything can happen.

Oh and if some people might think Kessler is "worthy" because he is Emeritus... Please, dont tell me you like all those belts (silver, normal, diamond, super champion, emeritus, etc.? So just dont say it!
