Bute is an excellent boxer. I can see Lacy being shut out, but he has a puncher's chance and if he's mentally up for that bout it can be a very good match.

I know it makes more sense for JT to go to another country and fight, but he doesnt want to.

Well, as Maxime sid, Canada is not far. I also think Bute there is not enough time to settle this fight now. Too bad. Fxxx Larsen.

Lacy put 20,000 in the seats at the Forum for the Robin Reid fight.

Granted his badge is a bit tarnished now but with all the Canadians that winter in Florida I think they could fill the Forum again.

    Nice comment Einstein.

I'm picking Bute with a relatively easy UD. Too fast for Lacy. Good exposure for Bute but thats about it. Certainly not the best matchup available...

Since Bute want to fight in Marsh and Larsen who's prefering to get KO by Kessler then by Bute there not many options for Interboxe.

Lacy is ranked 8 by the IBF , his still a legitimate contenders. But since Interbox want exposure in the US will it be better to look for a young undefeated boxer like Direll or Ward!there both ranked in the IBF (9 and 14-15)? ill will prefer a fight with one of the Andre's then a fight with Lacy. But i think Interboxe see in Jeff Lacy a better exposure here in Canada and in US for Bute and a better tune-up for is rematch against Aldrade.

Its Lacy`s last chance at world level,he really needs to win this one which makes him a threat to Bute.I see Lacy comming out fast and trying to land hard shots early,Bute has the skills to deal with Jeff but i hope Lacy gets an early ko and puts himself back in the mix.The division needs a big hitting inconsistent guy like him hanging over it.

This could be Calzaghe/Lacy part two to a lesser extent. Bute is a poor man's Calzaghe.

Exact same thing everyone was saying before the Taylor fight; didn't make a bit of difference.

Since Calzaghe, they've all been "must-wins" for Lacy, and even in winning he was a disappointment, and in losing he was dominated.

I your definition of being weak is being able to get up from the canvas after being totally busted up, or to be able to win a boxing match with only one arm OK :patsch.

Really this would be great to see Bute dispatch Lacy more than anyone before him, live at Bell Center:bbb

Lacy's career has been over for a while now. He can beat some decent journeymen but even doing that can be laborious for him (see Manfredo and Mendoza). If this is the fight that Bute takes then it really says a lot about him and his ambitions. How many empty shells is he gonna face? The Joppy fight was enough. I'm pretty sure that Dirrell is available. Even a fight with someone like Stieglitz would be better than Lacy at this point.
