He can't. Bute also expends a lot of mental energy doing a lot of ineffective head movement - ineffective because they can still time him and hit him fairly regularly - and he also likes his little breaks, etc.

Pascal can explode effectively when he sees Bute napping/going through the motions. They're working on getting Bute to be more active, to take advantage of Pascal's lack of activity, but can they get him to do it round after round, fluidly, given that Pascal will break Bute's rhythm repeatedly, every single round, as he explodes?

If I were Pascal, I'd got for broke in the first few rounds, looking for the stoppage win. If that doesn't work, I'd try to break Bute's rhythm with well-times, effective explosions in the middle rounds, saving as much energy as possible for the late rounds.

This fight should be the second hardest fight ever for Bute.

Some three weeks left now. Hope the fans in Montreal are happy with the fight on the night and with the fighters' performances - all that I really care about right now.
