I agree that at this point in time Bute is all wrong for Pavlik. He's naturally bigger, he's faster, he has better defense, and KP's experience against southpaws is very limited. However, I think Kelly would win some rounds on tenacity, work rate, and the ability to make Bute respect him. Don't think the decision would be all that wide, clear, but by no means a one sided affair.

Bute would box circles around KP. He would do the same thing that Hopkins did except Bute his faster and younger than Hopkins. Pavlik is a straight ahead one dimensional fighter, he's strong, but he wouldn't be able to break Bute down the way he did Jermain, and I don't think Pavlik is as rugged as Andrade.

Bute UD or possibly a late tko

Can see Bute landing some big counters throughout the 12, especially as the rounds draw on and KP tries being a bit more forceful

That was a mistake on Bute's part, intelligence. He went toe to toe and knackered himself out near the end. He should learn a lot from that fight going forward...

It's a tough one to call. Pavlik is a greater fighter at middleweight than Bute is at SuperMiddleweight but Pavlik is a more natrual Middleweight and might have trouble with the natrually heavier Bute. That being said I think this one could go either way. I think if there's a knockout I would favor Pavlik but if Bute makes it the distance he might eek out a close decision. I think Pavlik would need a late knockdown to take it on points.

He'd have to do a "ring roll" instead of a ring walk, cuz the poor ******* would be in a wheel chair!

Even if he'd cut both his legs off he wouldn't make 160.

I couldn't agree more! I think he's better for having fought that fight. I was just saying that I don't think Pavlik could walk through the punches that Andrade did.

Pavlik would not get hit nearly as often or as hard as Andrade.

I don't think he would need to, Andrade has cement for a skull, Pavlik doesn't.

If Bute fought Pavlik like he did zuniga, Bute by late stoppage or majority decision. Bute is somewhat like pwill, is a boxer that has speed and good technically, both pwill and Bute never really need to start going toe to toe with there respectful opponents rather box them and hope to catch them with something big but it seems he likes to lose focus in the later parts of the rounds and starts to trade, which will not be a good idea against pavlik. If he fights like he did against andrade, Pavlik takes him out in round 10-12. Hopefully the stamina issue he had against andrade was just that fight and I have never seen him so tired ever before. Right now I would lean with a Bute decision or tko because of accumulation of punches effecting palik, but would not be surprised if Pavlik catches him late.
