    Bute v. Bika II...well...:!:

Bika is one of my favourite fighters...I just love the guy...but he's fighting Bute...and I always want Bute to win...:!:

    :conf

It's a better fight than any other available for Bute right now, given that Andrade is not really available, since he's fighting Tsypko in the eliminator.

I consider Bika a top 5 fighter at 168 lbs...and I think he's better now than when he fought Bute the first time...better, hungrier for success, more confident and motivated...

So, I'd be very happy with this match-up...

    May the best man win!:good

    Go, Lucian! Go, Sakio!:happy

That's going to be hard with Kessler's legal problems. He might not fight for a while.

Larouche said they wanted another opponent who would prepare Bute for Andrade. Bika is probably the best man to do that. If not him, Miranda, Lacy or Ward, but Bika is miles ahead of the others.

Bika, then Andrade. Does Bute want to clarify things? After all, after Andrade, Bika is the man who gave Bute the hardest time. Interbox may think that if he beats him convincingly, Bute will make another statement. If he beats Andrade in the rematch, Lucian would be able to say: only the top ones can play with me. I'm done with the others.

Bute would deserve a lot of credit for taking on Bika again. Bika is probably one of the top 5-6 guys in the division and Bute already beat him once without any controversy so to take him on again would speak well of Bute. Lacy and Miranda are bigger names and easier fights that Showtime would probably be interested as well. I don't think it will be Dirrell or Ward quite yet. Showtime seems really interested in the supermiddleweight division and it would make sense for Ward and Dirrell to be built up a little more.

Aye...Bika's a big test...I'd be very impressed with Bute taking on Bika, especially in a voluntary...

...I also agree with you that Bika would prepare Bute best for Andrade.

How was your son's hockey practice, laffie?

(Here on the internet, you assume most people are around 16-17, reading their posts...not you, of course, and then you hear about kids and stuff...)

It's good to have kids, laffie...:happy

In addition to his practice, my son had a playoff game, also yesterday. He won in overtime. Him and his teammates were so happy. The other team players were so mad. Some were crying. That's sport's bottom line, isn't it? Same thing in boxing.

I have to go, my daughter has her swimming lesson. ;)

Bute vs. Bika is a very good fight, but it should not come at the expense of a rematch against Andrade. Bute could fight Bika in June and then Andrade in October, true, but what if he fights Bika in June and doesn't fight Andrade in October? What if, say, he fights a unification fight against, say, Taylor (assuming Taylor beats Froch) in October? Bute could indeed try and pay Andrade step aside money to let him unify before he fights him (assuming Andrade beats Tsypko in April). But what if Andrade insist to get his shot at Bute straight away? In my view, the IBF should suggest/insist that Bute rematch Andrade before he is allowed to unify. Bute needs to put the question of Andrade to bed once and for all, the sooner the better. If he doesn't, his credibility will suffer. A beltholder entering a unification fight should have no doubts hanging over him. Bute needs to rematch Andrade before any "big name" out there, in my view.

As long as Bute does rematch Andrade, I don't really mind whether he does it this year or next year, but I do agree that Bute MUST rematch Andrade. Andrade would deserve the rematch even if he weren't entitled to it, as mandatory challenger...:good

I think it very much matters when Bute rematches Andrade, because, in my view, Bute wouldn't get to unify his title in the first place if he faced Andrade before such a unification fight. Andrade is underrated by many boxing commentators. If anything, he underperformed in the first Bute fight. Bute, it could be argued, had performed slightly worse than expected too. Still, Bute would have to give an excellent performance to beat him again, I think. There's nothing that I'd want more than to be proven wrong, and have Bute beat Andrade clearly, though. Still, before Bute moves up the the next level, he needs to prove himself against Andrade again, I think.

i will prefer see Bute rematch Andrade to get rid off the question mark in some people head , then he will be free to unifiy!

I like Bute, I think he would give a lot of fighters a good run for their money. Good luck to the guy

Dirrell's back on Shobox in a stay busy in two weeks, so the timing and fact he is about ready for a title fight would make this a good choice. I don't think you can go wrong with most of the names being mentioned.
