I'm not 100% sure, I'll make my mind up if he manages to actually see off Andrade this time. There's still some decent fights out there for him to take whilst the super 6 is going on. If he beats guys like Andrade, Green, Bika, Pavlik, Steiglitz etc then a fight with the winner of the Super 6 becomes massive.
I'd like to see Bute fight Pavlik or Stieglitz next if he gets past Andrade. Allan Green is a decent fight too and he brings USA exposure but if we're being fair. Stieglitz is much more deserving of the fight. Allan Green has faced nothing but bums with the exception of Edison Miranda (and he lost). Stieglitz has fought MUCH better opposition so far in his career and he also as wins over much better fighters. Plus he brings a world title to the table. But obviously the fight I really want to see is Bute-Pavlik.
The tournament ends in 2011-- and that's assuming no injuries or pullouts. Bute won't be champion by then.
I wish Bute was in instead of Taylor. I think Bute beats Taylor, loses to Kessler, Abraham and possibly Froch. Not sure about Ward and Dirrell.
I think he'd win the tournament. Maybe he doesn't beat Kessler straight up quite yet, but by the time they faced each other after the round robin is over, he will have improved enough to do so.
If Bute beats Andrade in the rematch, who is actually a threat to beat him who ISN'T in the tournament? Maybe Kelly Pavlik. Or maybe if he moves to 175 to chase the money (but even that would probably be a fight against Diaconu or Pascal, and he probably beats either one pretty easily). Maybe Korobov or Jacobs in a couple years if they move up. Other than that, I don't see anyone beating him.
If Bute beats Andrade again and Pavlik wins vs Williams, I'd love to see a pavlik-Bute fight on HBO.. For the Super 6, I'm sure Bute can beat them all but Kessler is the tougher one.
