I believe Bute is the better of the three as of today. Too early to claim that Ward is the future of boxing. He is no PBF and Direll is not RJJ. I feel that Direll will beat Ward when the face each other. Bute is just sharpening his tools unitl he faces one of them and I don't just mean Ward and Direll. AA could give Ward hell so we should wait to see what transpires and the conclusion of the super six. It is going to turn out like a soap opera ending.
Thank you! Finally some sense! Everyone thinks that Dirrell isn't that great and Ward is the man, nevermind bute who almost got ko'd by one dimensional andrade. You think dirrell would've needed a long count had he fought andrade? Do you think that in bute's or ward's 18th fight they would've had the balls to go to enemy territory and fight an undefeated champ and look pretty damn decent in thier effort? hell roy jones didn't even have the balls to go overseas. like i said, dirrell is the best talent at 168 and has been baptised by fire. no funny stuff from the refs have assisted his resume. his only flaw is that he doesn't fully realize what he can do in the ring. mark my words, the only way ward will beat dirrell is to headbutt, rough house and wrestle, because he will not outbox this guy. my money will be on dirrell.
It is because his talents in the ring are obvious to those who are paying attention, regardless of what any judges or referees have to say about it (not so sure how much attention they themselves are paying). Besides, as far as resume is concerned, Dirrell won 9 rounds against Froch in reality, so I'd say Dirrell's resume is not reality. And Abraham may be a former MW champ, and he is about the right size for a MW, but his power is that of a LHW.
You know...despite going over to the UK, Dirrell probably had the easiest first-round fight of anyone. A guy with the skills that Dirrell exhibits should have wiped the floor with Froch but he just gave it away, through lack of activity. You can perhaps give him a pass for this performance because of his age, level of experience and him going on tour. Against Abraham, we see the opposite. With a noticeable increase in output, Dirrell is clearly outclassing Abraham in the skills department but starts to look a little vulnerable by the 10th and showing signs of slowing up. Abraham is looking stronger and is clearly looking for the KO. What happens? A DQ is given, which was warranted but, in short, although it was a 'W' for Dirrell, I would have far preferred to see him hear the final bell to make the victory complete. People have justification to doubt Dirrell until he delivers a complete domination at world level in, say, the same manner of one of Ward's victories. I'm sure if he manages this he will get all the deserved props.
Its good that you have found a fighter that you are clearly interested in the progression of. I do see Dirrell has some natural ability but I just have a feeling he will be one of those fighters who wont become the complete article. Froch vs Dirrell may not be the robbery people and fans want to believe, The Ring magazine and Boxing News both scored for Froch and Froch did outland Dirrell. As for Abraham ive never been sold on him, he hasnt any real big wins except for Miranda, but Im not sure AA has quite the power you believe, he was taken the distance by guys like S Taylor who was being blasted out at WW, and smaller guys like Jantuah. But I would say he is a fair puncher
