I thought very little of Andrade (and still do), but last night he deserved the victory. If you watch the youtube, Bute is down at 3:01 of the clip (he is lying flat on the bottom rope). At 3:11, Bute is in the process of standing up. He is leaning on the ropes with his back, using the ropes to help him stand. If a fighter is using the ropes to keep himself up in any way, he is not standing up, as per the rules of boxing. Indeed, knockdowns are often scored this way. Therefore, if not for the Montreal referee, Bute would have been KOed last night. That is the sign of a fighter who is not able to continue. If the ref's count was even slightly slow, a TKO ruling would have been appropriate at that point. A lot of these Bute fans like to rag on Chad Dawson's chin, well guess what, Chad has never been down for 10 seconds in a fight. Bute now has, and his chin has to be labelled as a shaky one now.

I need to check it more closely, but just in regard to your remark about him being down for ten seconds... that is irrelevant. A fighter gets ten "counts". Whether the counts were coming far too slowly is another issue.
now i've seen it.... this wasn't corrales against castillo or gatti against ward. bute couldn't clinch or defend himself in any way. andrade should have been awarded that fight in the closing seconds BEFORE he put him down if a fighter's safety really does matter - and believe me it does. disgraceful refereeing.
his chin isnt shaky but his strencth and conditioning might be...he gassed BAD...but he wn..I am a huge dawson fan and I like bute....they are both up and cmers on the p4p list....bute dominated the fight...he gt up at the count of 9 ...he wins any way u cut it...i don't feel bad for andrade as he got outclassed for 11 rds...he gt to him too late..oh well
Bute chin shaky ? Are you ****ing kidding me ? He took strong shot from both Berrio and Andrade. Berrio is a one punch KO artist.
Bute knows he lost. You can't possibly finish a fight in that condition and think you won. Fight wasn't over, Andrade KO 12. Bull**** decision.
Exactly. Those arguing that Bute won legit have been unable to come up with a satisfactory response to "there was never a moment where Bute stood unassisted on his feet for at least fifteen seconds after hitting the canvas, so how exactly did he 'beat the count'??"
