Bute - What has he really done?

Bute is a scary dude, I don't see too many top 10 168 pounder willing to get in the ring with him unless they absolutely have to .
Bute had the ability to finish a fight early or in later rounds which is still bad , because this only means he has good stamina and carries his power to the later rounds.
No one want to be in the ring with a guy that can beat on you all night.

 

He seems to be a nice guy, but a bit selective, I meen Joopy!!!!!!!

Bika, Andrade and Miranda are tough guys, they just fight :good I love it!

Kessler is a nice guy too, and he just fight anybody anywhere, thats my man:good

 

You make a good point. Kessler is just the best! No one can argue with that. We all love him. But Mikkel is at a different stage of his career. He was buing built up carefully too when he had 21 fights. :good

Thing is, if Bute were Andrade, Bika or Miranda, he'd probably just fight too! However, I think his team think he's better than that, so they need to mould him more carefully into the kind of fighter that would have a good chance at giving an elite like Kessler a good run for his money. I don't like to admit it, but it does make sense, long-term. It's not as if Bute's been fighting bumbs throughout his career anyway, as Maxime has clearly shown!

Joppy? Sure, embarrassing...god knows what Larouche is thinking...but I would be very surprised if he made Bute fight another non-top 15 guy in the near future. Even hard-core fans like Maxime and sean would become scandalised. So far he hasn't been selective though, has he? He hasn't fought bumbs to fatten his CV, has he?

Before starting a thread like that, maybe the author of the original comments should watch some fights of Bute....

Bute has been a little too on the defensive end in his last few fights and he has great combinations going up and down with ease and precision...He has developed a decent shoulder roll defence and has very good mobility.

His progression is very decent and he has only 21 fights under his belt.. He should fight Andrade in the summer, then his mandatory and after the offers for unification will start to seriously be considered !

Calzaghe will not be around anymore to fight him....For Calzaghe it's gonna be B-Hop and then RJJ in Wales if Jones is impressive !!

Anyhow, a guy like Miranda will always have a great puncher's chance, but against a skilled fighter like Bute, he should normally be dismantled and look like an amateur !!
