What you say about politics is too true. The only missing element here is Interbox twisting the arm of the IBF and getting some hand picked fighter suddenly ranked in the top 15 and set the fight with them. Just not sure if there is enough time to get this done, unless April ranking come out soon.

Im not sure Bute is a good match up either. Hell, Im not sure Ward is a good match up for Miranda. But if your gonna get a shot to fight for a belt, you gotta go for it!

Anyway i dont think Green or Deleon can really beat Bute.

I think it's between Bika or Miranda for June 19th. Forget about Dirrell, Ward or Green for now. Dirrell is not gonna risk anything being ranked no.1 with the WBO, he's gonna have his title shot in 2009. Ward, like many said, need a little bit more seasoning before a big fight. And Green needs to focus on DeLeon Jr. before looking for his next fight. Anyhow, Bute or Taylor would be the end of the line for Allan Green.

    :good

i will prefer Miranda since Bute already beat Bika , and Bika is not the kind of boxer you want to face before a big fight (Bute-Andrade2 ) !

Bute is becoming soon from Romania. He's supposed to be ringside at the Andrade-tsypko fight. Interbox may announce something next week. Maybe.

1- Allan Green refused the fight not because of health problems or management issues but because he wanted more than the $100 000 he was promised....Thing is...he never made anything anywhere close to that and hada chance at the IBF belt that would have brought him instant money in the US after a win because he already had a bit of a name !

2- Compare Bute's record after the few fights he had, to any other 168 lbs guy. He has nothing to be ashamed of whom he faced !

Considering his options, this seems to be the overall concensus. Get the word out to interbox, I am sure Pantera would love the challenge!

But is he still capable of going down to 168 lbs without being a shadow of himself?:think

No doubt. 168lbs is not a problem for him. His deal with Abraham was he had blown up to 224lbs and had to lose almost 60lbs to make 166bls in less than 8 weeks. Stupid...
I heard he is in great shape already and in camp preparing for a few possibilities for 168lbs fight.

I've been trying to do 10K every day, weather permitting, walking, jogging, running ( or what passes for that for me) and I finally lost 5 pounds due to the flu. I don't know how these guys do it.

I'm trying to go under 200 pounds but I get stuck at 201-202, even if I'm training three times a week, an hour and a half each time. And i walk to my job. So it must be grueling to have to trim down to a certain weight for a fight...

That's a nice distance! Keep it up.
But exercise is only 20% of the formula to lose weight. The other 80% is what you eat. What good is it to run/walk 6 miles and burn 600+ calories and than go to Wendy's and eat a triple burger, fries and a coke and consume close to 2000 calories!

You are what you eat. That statement cant be more true. Keep up the cardio, but more important, keep a healthy diet!

By the way. I don't recommend the flu method.

I have had several talks to the wife about diet. I may just have to tell her not to make a meal for me, I'll be on my own. She won't eat many vegetables. Peas, green beans, brussle sprouts... she won't touch them. I could make a meal of them. Plus she has a cupboard she has to fill with sweets and snacks. Best kept cupboard in the house. Yeah. My fault in the long run. I know.
