You have my excuses.I have not to make a general appreciation.

    It`s about Pavlik fans.

Yes, a lot of Americans feel Lucian is superior, but some people here bring continously arguments in order to keep the image of KP.

At the same time, Pavlik's fans often begin their thread by saying Bute should win. And then, they add points in favor of Pavlik. I just see the love for their boxer. No one really hates Bute. It's not the Pac-Mayweather type of war.

Bute is not far behid BH or Martinez regarding skills. One of the articles writers here ask for Bute to be included in Top 10 P4P.
Bute Ko`ed the last three men(sice two have never been Ko`ed before) in less than 4 rounds each. This speaks enough.
In exhange Martinez and B hop are behind him regarding power.
KP has 1, 89 m Bute has 1,88 m.So KP is not longer than Bute, he has an edge height advantahe for Pavlik.
KP will face the most powerfull oponent so long in his life and even more: the most mobile.

Conclusion:KP has no more than 20% chances of win with Bute.

Contrary to you, I think Pavlik chances are better against Cloud than Pascal because the first one doesn't move as much and will be more willing to exchange shot for shot with Pavlik. But we don't know how Kelly will react to the power of a 175...but at the same time, Pascal injury might still affect him.

I think Pascal would have a good chance against Pavlik and you can certainly make a case(as you have done) that he's a more favorable matchup. Aside from what you have said, Pascal has also been tested more by a wide margin. The only worries I have for Pascal is he got caught with some bombs somewhat frequently against Diaconu because he set his hands real low (granted that may not matter because Sergio did that too, but I think Sergio does a better job measuring distance). My second concern is the shoulder injury...we don't know what he will be like.
But you're right, you can definately argue that Pascal is the harder matchup.

I favored Cloud because if this becomes a come-forward battle, which it's hard to see that not happening, I'd favor Cloud. I wasn't sold on Cloud's power until he stopped Gonzalez and hurt the ridiculous chinned Clinton Woods several times. He's also deceptively skilled: good upper body movement, has a decent shoulder roll(though no one will confuse him for Mayweather or Toney), puts punches together very well, and too my shock when he went 12 rounds with Clinton Woods...has a VERY high work rate(throwing over 1000 punches while sick).

Either way, I'd favor both over Pavlik at 175, we'll see what happens though if he goes to 175.

Bute is a better puncher than Pavlik. Bute is faster than Pavlik. Bute is more techncially skilled, with better footwork, endurance, everything than Pavlik.

Pavlik should just go upto heavyweight and take on David Haye.
