Let's take a quick look at some other well known fighters who fought in multiple division

PBF started at 130. Ten years later he beat Judah and Baldo at 147.

Pacman started at 106. Ten years later he fought Morales at 126.

Mosely started at 135. Tens years later he was at 147.

Oscar started at 135. Ten years later he beat Vargas at 154.

Pavlik started at around 160, but he spent the vast majority of his early career fighting above the middleweight limit, and has at least 15 fights above that limit. Ten years into his pro career he can no longer make 160. What a ****ing shock!!!! I have no idea why this is controversial.

If it was your fighter, and he was out jabbing his opponent with single jabs, but repeatedly eating right hand counters, you would tell him . . . . . what?

Do you have an answer, or are you just playing the clown?

    :hi: Boo

None of the fighters you listed lost to a 43 year old man while they were the champ and them blamed it on the weight. That's why it is in question. But your buddies explained it in much better fashion then that lame attempt.

Did Pavlik blame it on the weight in the post fight interview when he said; "It wasn't the weight?" Or are you talking about a few days later when he told Vindy.Com, "The weight had nothing to do with it?"

I recall yourself & Hermit banging on about Hops being a "solid 185" and far too big for Kelly.

Two years ago I said it was highly unlikely Pavlik would remain at 160. Morons on ESB who dont know **** said that would never happen.

    well......

I'm talking about when right before the Martinez fight how he told reporters that if Sergio is watching the Hopkins fight good. He went on to state he was fighting 2 weight classes above his most comfortable.

You are too well versed in Pavlik 101 to even attempt to argue this point. But I have some time would you like me to dig it up? Or I can even dig up your own post in which you state the same?

You mean the same interview where he stated he felt physically fine and wasn't sick? And the same interview where the mic got passed to Loew who said Pavlik would never fight north of 160 again, because he was a "legitimate middleweight"? That interview Boo?

I like it... The guys been draining for a few years ago. He should have moved up when Abe did and took that fight then... The guy lost snap and power recently, that doesn't just happen unless your old, shot, or just not physically there.

This is a good thing and can show what he has left.

Pavlik never said, "I lost to Hopkns because of weight." Simply stating that the fight was at 170, and was a poor performance, is hardly the same as blaming it on the weight.

Personally I don't really care to much about all the things from the past. What I actually care about is whether or not this kid will ever live up to the potential he once showed.

I knew he was going to beat Taylor when I saw him dismantle McKart and make it look fairly easy. Even then I thought 168 would prove to be his best weight. I also said, long ago, he'll win a title at 175, but never be the boss of that division. He may end up in the hall of fame, but he'll ultimately fall short of ATG status. I said all this a long time ago. Now he's suffered a few set backs, but they weren't career enders. I'd just like to see him get his **** together and move foward with the same kill or be killed attitude he displayed from fall 2005 thru spring 2008.
