Don't take Dirrell for a joke...he is the fastest on foot and in hand speed. in fact i believe in terms of natural athletic talent he is the best in the division he just lacks power, but he can back you up if he needs too.

Dirrell didn't run vs Abraham and Dirrell has power. Not as much as Bute, but he has it.
He was able to hurt Froch and Abraham

Don't confuse ring IQ with athletisicm. Fighters with great ring IQ like Tszyu for instance, don't consistently get backed into the corner like Dirrell did against Froch throughout and the latter stages of the Abraham fight. Thats not ring intelligence, he gets backed up and his footwork is shitty. Been a runner does not equate to having good footwork, that nonsense is thrown out there too much these days. Good footwork is subtle shifting of the feet to enable you to be the one in control of range. Dirrell just circles the ring. The day his excellent athletic ability leaves him he will be a very average fighter because he doesn't have a great boxing brain.

 

Watch fight camp 360 the build up before the abraham fight, sitting on his couch he analysed and broke down King arthur. People on the forums & Betting odds were not giving Dirrell a chance. he CREATED THE BLUEPRINT TO DEFEAT abraham...then eveyone else altered it slightly to suit their puposes.

Dirrell is 6"2 to Abraham's 5"9 and holds a 3 inch reach advantage and has exceptionally fast hands. There is no ****ing genuis gameplan, you fight whats infront of you which in this case was a much smaller man and Dirrell held every physical advantage. Don't make it sound like he re-invented the wheel. He was always going to fight AA long and would of been stupid to do otherwise. The fact that AA went on to lose to bigger men in Froch and Ward showed that he had no business at 168 more so than any master gameplan than Dirrell laid out. Because if they did follow his blueprint they did a poor job, i mean they forgot to get dropped in the 10th round ( stepped on his foot my arse!! ) and run around the ring in survival mode for the last few rounds
