This punch is one of the most effective weapons in boxing today.

Against Andrade in the rematch it was used to send the iron chinned slugger down when it hit him square in the solar plexus & tonight against Brinkley it was used the send him down twice. Once when it caught him coming in to the body and another when it caught him on the chin ending the fight.

It's a powerful speedy punch that is a danger to anyone he faces just want to know if anyone else appreciates it as much as i do.

Looking foward to see him landing that on Ward.

If the timing is right, his uppercut can end a fight anytime.

I also really like that left body shot. Time to step after that mandatory and I hope it won't be Kelly Pavlik. I want to see Bute against a speedy skillful boxer.... but Ward is in the S6, Dirrell is taking a break and Pascal (if Bute steps up) is fighting Hopkins and possibly Dawson afterward. Who is he gonna fight ?

Against mediocre boxers, Bute's uppercut is a weapon. Ward will school him.

The American referee showed A LOT of a patriotism by prolonging the count to the first KD but even so, Brinkley would have finished in 5th, presenting hiself better than Zuniga and Miranda.

Ward comes in head first. Not the brightest idea against such an uppercut...

Ward is younger, he has to go to school to match Bute. Before beating Kessler Ward said he respects Bute and presented himself as the young lion aspiring to the crown. And now he`a the teacher ?

uhhhh... Ward will pressure Bute like hes never been pressured before. and before you say Andrade, the huge difference there is that Ward will pressure with more skill and speed. I like Bute and Ward, but I think Ward wins a less than beautiful decision here, no one is getting "layed out"

Bute is loose at times, sloppy. Ward is on a whole other level from all of Bute's former opponents, much, much more skilled and smarter. I'll be rooting for Bute, because I like him and his style, but I think Ward will dismantle him and avoid all the uppercuts.

Nobody will school Bute. Nobody will school Ward.

A thing of beauty is right, Bute does it again.

Bute is not a flawless technical fighter by any stretch. Hell, even Miranda early on was giving him problems, and Andrade deserved a KO in the first fight. Bute has power and is awkward, but he could definitely be schooled by Ward.

Bute was loose at times tonight. not usually.
Ward is of course on another level than Bute's previous opponents. Like Bute is on another level than Ward's former opponents. It doesn't help to know what would happen between both of them.

Back to the subject, I love Bute's uppercuts. He was forcing them a bit too much tonight though, forgetting the rest of his arsenal.
