Bute's fight convinced me that Margo will beat Pac

I know I know, what the hell does Bute vs Brinkley have to due with Pac vs Maragrito, even though Bute has a lot less in common then Margo they still share similarities. Fighting tall, and mean uppercuts.

Look how Bute is the taller fighter that uses all of is hight just as Margo does, and because of that did you notice how brinkley has to work harder to try to close the distance when he was throwing his punches. It takes him two jabs just to get close enough to land a power punch, now I believe Pacquaio is quick enough to move in on the jab, but that meens he won't be sitting on his punches, and if he's that close how does he get in and get out with out being hit?


If Pac grabs Margo on the inside Margo being the bigger guy can put his weight on him, and even get away with some dirty antics tiring Pac


Also when you're the taller guy fighting somebody who is much smaller the leverage on your punches gives your punches more power, and it seem that the uppercuts are just for landing. Notice how Bute can't miss with uppercut as long as you throw in it's gonna either hit the body or chin of the smaller man


I can't see Manny coming in throwing whatever he wants, and not getting tagged on his way out.


To sum it up Margo will have more power on his punches not just cause he's the bigger man, but also because he fights tall and will have leverage just like Corrales had in the lower weight classes.

Uppercuts on smaller guys seem to land more effective regardless if they land on the chest, stomach or chin.

You need to double the jab to get close enough to the taller fighter before being able to land your big shot, and getting away after your punches is hell.


I figure you guys would bring up this fight below, but note Williams was sick coming into that fight, lower punch output, both guys where in the same weight class, lack of pressure, and he wasn't fighting tall.

Now if this fight was at say 145 or maybe 147 I would give it to Pac, but being that its at 151, and with no rehydration clause I wouldn't be surprised if MARGO STOPS PAC! At the very least if Pac manages do get a UD he will get an ass beating he will remember forever.


O yea there is no way in hell I'm comparing the Brinkely to Pac or Margo to Bute, just how Bute use he's height, and how the uppercut lands on smaller guys.
