Yeah, maybe, (I didn't see it), but maybe Larsen truly thinks he was robbed; to him, that's as good as if he had been in fact robbed.
If you see i wrote he feels, because i didnt want to open this endless debate again...but yes he was robbed Most media outside Germany had him winning:good
I'd like to see some videos, old ones and new ones. He stopped for 4 years, that's a long time in boxing. Since his comeback, his opponents were not part of the elite at all, and he was not capable of knocking them out. On paper, I think he WAS a strong boxer (no big wins against world class though) but maybe not anymore. With some videos, My mind could be different.
I had it a draw that night but far from a robbery. In my definition a robbery is far worse than what happened that night.
Sorry no help with footage:!: But Larsen seemed wery keen on meeting Kessler, he was in the studio before the Kessler - Haussler fight and he kept trying to bring him into the picture of a Kessler fight. I truely think that he would prefer a fight against Kessler over easier opponents, even in a titlefight, if he had the opportunity, not wery vice but personal. Soo if beating Bute is what it takes to get to Kessler so be it... But then again it might all be too late, such a shame that he lost years fighting outside the ring with Mogens Palle...
I had him winning, but by using your definition, then we can agree. It was not like RJJ at the Olympics or anything.
If he beats Bute, particularly since he wouldn't have much of a style, height, power, speed or size advantage over him, he's good enough to fight Kessler for sure!:good
Larsen was a good fighter. Hasnt really seemed to regained his past form after those lay offs. Still got the skills and ring smarts but just seems to go through the motions now, not as impressed with him anymore. Physically doesnt seem like the fighter he was. I thought he beat Ottke. I wouldnt classify it a robbery but at the same time if you win by an inch or a mile it doesnt matter you are going to be pissed if you dont get the nod which I thought was fairly clear in Mad's favour. Much better fight then Joppy...Probably not as live a challenge as Andrade but at the same time he will test Bute in other ways with what he brings. Bute UD.
Bute fought 3 for the toughest and most rugged fighters in the division in his last 4 fights in Bika, Berrio and Andrade. It would be a good change of pace to go in against a counter puncher.
