bute is a fun fighter to watch. reminds me of trinidad with a huge punch but hittable with a questionable chin. no way he beats Froch in a rematch imo but props for having the nuts to go after it again.

not many fighters do that after taking such a shitkicking, not even foreman/frazier until years later. hell ward/dirrell wouldnt even fight eachother once

Bute can bounce back and in Montreal, with a larger ring and a better strategy, he can certainly beat Froch. Don't forget that even Froch said after the bout that there was no way he was taking Bute's shots for 12 rounds. Movement and counter punching will be key in a rematch. Just like Balboa against Clubber Lang, Bute simply can't afford to stay in front of Froch and exchange punch for punch. What I like from what Larouche said in recent interviews is that he wants to go back to basic where Lucian is not acting like a big puncher/finisher but rather like a moving counter stricker relying on hands speed. Bute has the advantage of being slick and powerful so when focusing on movement, defense and counter punches he can be a legitimate threat for any fighter in the division.

My prediction: a punishing victory against Grachev and a rematch against Froch with a possible different outcome. Time will tell.

They've been doing it for over 4 years since Bute got onto the world scene, and they still haven't learned since the Froch defeat....that's what makes them the worst/most deluded fan's in the world......

 

Nice post, but Bute got outjabbed and outboxed too. He was backing up in a straight line against the ropes. Poor defence. Little movement. Given the way Froch closes in, uses his long jab and tags Bute at will, unless Bute's jab became a lot better, unless he moved a lot better than usual, he would have almost no chance of outboxing Froch.
