    No-ones resume is looking weak, no-ones wins are losing credit / shine as all of these fighters in the super 6 and Bute included are in the top 10 of the weight division.

    Lets remember what Floyd Mayweahter said about mosley, cotto, margarito. "All these guys have losses and all have beaten each other. No-one has beaten me." Well thats because the three guys he mentioned actually had the balls to get in the ring and face each other and all were at the top of the 147 weight class.

    Its the same situation with the super 6, each fight is a world class level fight with the top fighters in the division facing off. Of course they are going to incur losses, there are no easy fights here and no-where to hide. No mandatory defences against un-heard of fighters, no tune up fights. Just the best V the best.

    Take it as it is. Wards win was a great accomplishment against a 3 time world champion. Bute on the second attempt did well to stop a previously unstopped opponent. Lets just hope he moves on to a better level of opponent.

    So nobody has done anything.
    U can't say Bute's the best SMW but u also can't say he's not. Whoever wins the super 6 still has 2 beat Bute or people will always debate.

    Good post. This will all be hashed out over the next couple of years and it should provide for some terrific fights, hot debate and not-so-friendly rivalries. I would like to see Bute step up the competition, because he clearly has skills, but I was seriously disappointed when watching Andrade. He is a more awkward, slower, more hittable version of Carl Froch. I give credit to Bute for wanting the rematch so bad and he did what he had to, but Andrade was asskicked in the 1st fight until the 12th and dispatched easily last nite.....but he's not a top level opponent by any stretch. It doesnt, however, detract from Ward's or Calzaghe's resume.

    Why the hell do idiots think that certain guys represent one another if they win or lose to them?, different styles brings different results, simple as that.

    Besides, you're from the US?. You guys do a marvelous drunken job supporting foreigners in your country and looking for even the most stupid stuff invented out of your ass to diminish an athlete representing your flag.

    What does Bute knocking out Andrade have to do with Andre Ward?! :rofl

    Hey, that happened to Andrade means Calzaghe's win over Kessler is pointless too, right?. Why didn't you mention that?, oh right, Calzaghe isn't American, right? :nut

    By the way, Ali lost to Frazier and Norton, Foreman made Frazier and Norton look like a journeymen in two rounds. So that means Foreman losing to Ali proves that Frazier and Norton are tomato cans, right?

    Some fools never learn and there are ENDLESS similar RECENT examples for the clueless but I use that since it's the most common.

    This is my reason why Bute can't be called the best. Outside of Ward and Dirrell, Bute's resume does not command him to be called the best smw. We need more then a revenge win against a limited boxer to call Bute the best smw.

    impressive as it Bute's win was. kessler had already shut him out and bute had done the same prior to getting tired. the only thing that this showed is bute's power. he beat a guy he already had beaten. yeah he put him down but so did yusef mack. i was impressed by the ko but to elevate him because he beat a fighter he had already beaten is a little much.

    Nobody has really done any better tho.
    AA beat Taylor
    Froch beat Taylor & Dirrell
    Kessler just lost
    Ward beat Kessler who hasn't beaten anyone that great

    I put my comment in context, apologies if you are confused. Wins are not diminished when the best fight the best.

    I am from the USA, yes.

    There are guys from the USA I love:

    * B-Hop
    * Pavlik
    * Evander Holyfield
    * James Toney

    There are guys from the USA I'm not such a big fan of:

    * Mayweather
    * Andre Ward
    * Malinaggi

    There are foreigners I like:

    * Klitschkos
    * Jean Pascal
    * Edison Miranda
    * Pacquiao

    There are foreigners I don't like:

    * David Haye
    * Amir Khan

    For me, it's not about country or race. There are just guys I like and guys I don't. No professional fighter is fighting for country, they're fighting for money. No one is representing me, there are just guys I like and don't like. And they come from all races and all countries.

    In general, I like brawlers and warriors, don't like runners. I like knockout guys, too. I like guys that come to fight. I don't like dirty guys that resort to those tactics when they're desperate, which is why I was disappointed with Hopkins in the Calzaghe fight.

    *

    Nallege: Thanks! But I can be biased as hell for the guys I like. :thumbsup

    Andrade's loss not diminishing Ward's win by a landslide. Why should it? Andrade's best showing was his loss to Kessler. Other than that only the Canadians had Andrade as anything special. Even in Mexico not many Mexicans know who Andrade is! Still, impressive showing by Bute and being the first to ko Andrade shows Bute's abilities and potential to be the best. Can't wait to see him with Abraham, who in my opinion is going to win the super 6.

    Abraham looked good against Taylor, didn't have those gassing issues he had his last few fights. Good to see.

    He's so incredibly explosive. I also think he has a good chance to win it all.
