Aired on ESPN Friday Night Fights; this card was dedicated to the New York Fire Department and New York Police Department for their heroic and tireless work with the infamous September 11, 2001 terroristic attacks on the World Trade Center.   Grant won a Unanimous Decision against Butler, scorecards read as follwed: Melvina Latham 97-93 Tom Kaczmarek 96-94 Steve Weisfeld 97-93   After the conclusion of the match, Grant went to embrace Butler, a standard practice in boxing, but Butler cowardly sucker-punched Grant. Grant suffered a dislocated jaw, and a lacerated tongue, requiring over 25 stitches to close. Referee Mike Ortega had to physical subdue Butler, before his corner and trainers brought him back to his respective corner. Grant was removed from the ring, escorted by members of the New York Police Department. On Air commentator Teddy Atlas screamed for Butler to be arrested for assault; in which he was. Lowest of the low Butler is scum of the earth BUT Apart from his gloves having been removed was there really anything much different in Butlers cowardly attack than in Mayweathers attack on a totally defenceless Victor Ortiz ???
