Ah I love Butterbean. The announcers were being dicks. Bean fought only bums yes but he did hit pretty hard and he made a lot of money and he was popular as ****. Funny novelty fights are what they are. And look at that body! Tremendous shape he was in and that handsome face! My God,I will never understand how he wasn't the face of boxing.
There was a video game featuring Butterbean. It was called toughman contest. If you managed to jab the other guy first, then you could jab your way thru without being hit. Butterman would then get out jabbed. ANyway, Butterbean is a beast!
Mcneely was and is a disgrace to boxing. Everyone felt like complete **** for buying that ppv against Tyson. Boxing lost it's lustor when you could throw in the towel for 1 punch.. That being said. Who doesn't like butter bean. Who gives a **** if he doesn't have a boxer body, he was entertaining
Agreed. The bean was a great showman, and actually quite a decent boxer. Powerful as heck, and much faster than you'd expect. Imagine what he might have been able to do if he could've gotten down to maybe 250-260 lbs?
