Brew City Brawl
    Bazooka wins; Funmaker retires Butterbean

The undercard was full of four round contests, with the night’s co-main attraction match-up between Harry ‘The Ho Chunk Hammer’ Funmaker of Fon du Loc Wisconsin and the man known to the world as “Butterbean,” Eric Esch the nearly 400 lb. heavyweight who is also known as the ‘King of the Four-Rounders.’ The bout was a combination of hay-makers, holding and some trash talking. At the end it was Funmaker who was awarded a split decision victory by a narrow margin.
The 43-year-old Butterbean said this is the end of boxing career. Esch, if he stays retired, leaves the ring with a 77-8-4 record. Funmaker (18-17) a 46-year-old who had not fought in nearly four years, did not make any claims about future bouts. But Funmaker did appear happy to finally get a victory over Butterbean after suffering two decision losses several years earlier to the King of the Four-Rounders.

Four rounds with Butterball? That's damn impressive when you see how hard that guy hits. True KO power in either fist

Good luck Butterbollaque, you were a legend in your own way

Yeah, what he did was kind of farcical - but boxing is part entertainment, and clearly he entertained some people.

Butterbean made the most out of his career. I guess Butterbean might try some more MMA now.

He made a lot of good money. It's disappointing that several of his matches contained allegations of fight fixing.

Hopefully, he will use that money to get that gastric bypass operation he desperately needs.

Face it, though... If some 300lb bald ball of round barnstormed the country in a bus in the 20's or 30's fighting and winning 4 rounders everywhere he went, he'd be a quaint boxing legend of sorts.

He could hit, but when he did get outboxed, man, he did look bad. Another savior of 20's Butterbean - no Youtube.
