I'm still kinda new to boxing, and I'm trying to learn more and more about it, but whats the deal with Butterbean? Why do people hate him so much? Is it the fact that he's huge? Or did he do something to **** people off?
Well it's not that people hate him, he's a gimmick. Not so much a boxer, also he has boobs, seems like a good guy though.
HE Got his fat ass handed to him by mitchell rose, he got his big bald bum beaten over 10 rounds by a 52 year old larry holmes, he sucks ****
I don't really mind Butterbean myself, he is like a kind of special attraction guy and normally delivers a knockout for those that want that. But I know that much of the dislike for him arises when he tries to lay claim to being a legitimate contender or something. Usually based around : A) despite his favourable 77-7 (58 KO) record, his resume is almost completely stocked with no-hopers, tomato cans and z-level journeymen. B) he trumpets his long line of KO victims as proving he has top-line power, despite as mentioned above them being poor quality opposition. and C) the fight-fixing allegations that have often drifted around some of his bouts The 4-round thing gets up some people's noses too. They feel it's a bit of an 'out' for Butterbean's poor conditioning.
Wow, thats pretty interesting, I never really thought about him until now for some reason. I guess he's pretty cool, even if he is a sideshow
Yea that was funny "Come on, just hit me once" Knoxville punches him once and Butterbean proceeds to knock him the **** out lmao...
I'd pick a 300lbs Butterbean over Tye Fields anyday. I like the guy, he's not trying to be a world champion, he's just a guy trying to make a living give him a break. Some of those KO's were great entertainment, and thats what matters when your a 300lbs club fighter. A prime Butterbean would probably be top 10 in this sorry division.
