Did he ever knock out any ranked guys? Or guys who used to be ranked? I've no idea.

Ancient Larry Holmes easily outboxed "The Bean"

The only thing legendary about Butterbean is how he make 12 quarter pounders disappear in 3 minutes.

Why, he knocked out the great Peter McNeeley!!!! They later found McNeely's mouthpiece under the Bean's left tit.

Honestly that was incredibly stupid for both parties. I’ve seen it before , I think I understand the premise but it was very dangerously dumb

    No doubt to some degree.

"The King of the three rounders" Is how he used to be described. An ageing uninterested Holmes gave him a boxing lesson.

Butterbeans career is an great example of market segmentation, finding ones “niche”. He was thus able to build a career without much effort emphasizing his only strength. Horrible fighter but an excellent market plan!

    I'd want a Butterbean/Sonny Liston showdown
