Fury and Wilder both did a great job of TALKING their way into fanboys thinking theyre great.

Both garbage. Thus their wars gave people a false impression of their worth.

I'd take this a step further - the 1990 Foreman beats Fury.

Any of the great fighters stops Ngannou like Joshua did.
Even the ones considered small like Dempsey, Marciano or Charles.
Reason being the guy didn't belong in a pro boxing ring against
    world class pro BOXING competition.
And it really is that simple.
So What does that say about Fury?

There just isn't a reasonable argument to be formulated for Fury beating a prime Foreman.

Fury lacks the handspeed, footwork, and chin of Ali. ESPECIALLY the chin part. He would not be able to duplicate what Ali did in Zaire.

The only argument his fanboys would have is maybe Fury leaning on Foreman long enough to tire him out, but I dont buy that either.

Fury is just a fatass. Foreman was physically stronger than him, despite not having the extra fat. He isn't gonna be able to bully George the way he did Wilder, and he'd quickly find out trying to smother Foreman that George is a lot more deadly at close range than Wilder.

You get no argument from me X.
My opinion hasn't changed on Fury from the beginning.
I always thought he was just a product of a weak boxing
era, as far back as his win against Klitchsko .
As the vast majority of today's world class boxers in the world are.
    At all weight classes.

Fury would comfortably outbox young George, who couldn't deal with movers or guys who made him think too hard. Prime Fury is too jittery, too mobile, and too smart to get clubbed by George. Fury is stylistically an awful matchup for George prime for prime.

Wont even bother ‘Feeding you any bull****’ because the drug nostalgia is known to **** up your appetite for facts. Lol!

But I KNEW some classic Bert Sugar wannabe would bring up the ngannou fight :D Yeah was a bad look on Fury’s part! Far from his best performance! But ngannou is a world champion MMA fighter. Did Ali look good getting roughed up and tagged by an NFL football player Lyle Alzado??? Why am I bringing up Ali??? Because he’s the best one from your GOLDEN ERA and embarrassed the **** out of Foreman in Africa. Ali was also a boxer/puncher! So is Tyson Fury but six inches taller and fifty pounds heavier ;)

Foreman isn’t “Going through” **** in that fight. And I actually don’t mind George as a boxer or person. But young George doesn’t hit harder than ngannou as much as you’ll insist he does. It’s close in that department and Fury had no trouble getting back up and taking several more power shots from him while outboxing him. Sometimes crude awkwardness works in fighters favor if their opponent isn’t used to it. Guaranteed Fury would stop him next time out

And Fury, as much of an A-hole as he acts like all the time… Did win that fight. And he did NOT take it as seriously as say wilder or Usyk. Tyson would have that jab in George’s face all night long and use his size.

What nobody ever talks about is how relatively easy it is to land body punches on Fury. Usyk was lighting him up all night with sharp, accurate body shots in the most recent bout. Even Wilder had some success with body shots. Fury's gas tank depleted rapidly when he's hit to the body a lot--on top of the fact he's simply too heavy carrying all that fat on his Dr. Robotnik frame. Attempting to use lateral movement while weighing that much is impressive in short spurts, but it really looks the joints and makes Fury have to dig deep to stay defensively sound. Foreman is one of the best body punchers in the division's history and also one of the hardest hitters.

Next is the jab, another area where people often fail to bring up in Foreman fights. Contrary to popular belief, both versions of Foreman had a stellar, telephone pole jab with good accuracy. Fury tends to flick or frame out a stiff jab from long range coming up from below the waist while Foreman's jabs were a lot straighter and throw from chin height/chest height. I think it's actually possible Foreman wins the battle of the jabs forcing Fury onto the back foot and opening up for follow up bombs upstairs and downstairs.

Now on Fury's end, what he has going for him are: better ring IQ, better hand speed, and jittery movements to throw Foreman off. He's also taller and can potentially tire Foreman out with clinches. I think the best version of Fury to use in this matchup would be the one who beat Wladmir. He had more spring in his legs, was more defensively responsible with decent head movement, and knew how to score and win rounds. I think Foreman struggled, if not loses to that Fury more often than not. He could frustrate Foreman with his jerky jerky motions and footwork.

But the more recent versions of Fury whose gotten fatter and fatter, more flat footed with leaky defense probably gets stopped by Foreman. Foreman wouldn't be able to miss that big belly with his eyes closed, and as mentioned above his style could give Fury serious problems.
