I have never done it but I attended a few boxing matches. I tell you this because if you can get to Las Vegas I would tell you just go to Vegas weather you can go to the fighter not because Vegas on a Mayweather fight week is different from a normal Las Vegas and is different from any other fighters fight week.

it's like a totally different Vegas when Mayweather fights and I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan... Like for instance I was at the mayweather cotto fight but I was surprised to see how many people flew over from Great Britain. If you have never been to may weather fight and you can get to Vegas just experienced the atmosphere... With that being said it's even better when he's fighting somebody who's really marketable

Don't sweat it-there will be plenty of dudes with tickets to sell outside the arena and if you have a budget of $800 to spend for a ticket you will have no problem securing one.

    This.

Mayweather/Ortiz tickets were available at ease the day before the fight when I was there for it.

What the above dude said about fight week in Vegas is true. The whole city is nothing but "Mayweather vs. X" advertisements all over and it's all everyone is talking about the day before through the day after; from the strip to Walgreens to the airport. Guys will be standing outside the MGM all day selling Mayweather Boxing Club tshirts, celebs will be about with crowds following them around the casino floor, and some old rude ass heavyweights (*cough* Norton, Shavers, L. Spinks *cough*) will be behind a table charging $80 for an autograph...

It makes the atmosphere of a typical sporting event (Seahawks game, etc) look like a routine afternoon picnic.
