I've been doing it since just before Christmas to compliment my boxing training:

    Pull ups
    Sit ups
    Leg raises
    Squats
    Press ups
    Dorsel raises

I've been doing them 3x a week, all as one long set with a minute rest *before I do them again and I complete the routine 6 times all together. Started off with a comfortable number for each one and added more as I progressed each week so for example I started with 6 pull ups and now I'm up to 10, started with 15 press ups and now up to 28.

I was speaking to one of the lads at boxing and he said once you get past 20 reps of an exercise you're not getting any more benefit as it's too easy; start again with a low number but with a harder variation of the exercise, weighted pull up, raised leg press ups etc and work your way back to 20 before changing again. Also said to cut down the rest period by 10 sec's now and again.

I agree I should change up the exercises now and then and less resting would result in a more intense routine but surely if I keep adding *reps then it will still make me stronger as it's still adding to the workload, right?

    Sorry for the long post.

Adding to the worload, yes. Making you stronger? No.
