    Out of these it's Tim Bradley, my personal vote would be Rigo though.

    Is kinda a shame, although my vote has gone with the busier fighters, amongst the 2 fight guys Rigos schooling of Donaire and complete shutout of Agbeko should actually have him at least equal to any of them.

    I was actually surprised Rigos name wasn't up there (though I'm not quite clear on when the candidates were selected, mighta been prior to the Rigo - Agbeko fight) - he'd been mentioned in most polls I'd seen on the subject. Guess the BWAA ain't as impressed as some of us by sublime boxing skills.

    most deserving is bradley.

    provo win was way, way better than what it was originally thought.

    jmm win was probly the biggest win of anybody this year.

    no way. he lost 3 times. ruslan battered him

    Kovalev for me... he destroys good fighters way quicker than everyone expects him to, fearless tough killer, he's got the potential to be a great

    fight against ruslan was close, ruslan himself even agree that bradley deserve the win so you can't take that win away for bradley.

    ...and again, his jmm win was probly the biggest win this year.

    all the names listed had a good year but bradley deserve it more. (and i ain't even a bradley fan)

    Rigo's win over Donaire was the biggest win this year considering the opponent, how wide the fight was and both fighters were in their prime

    OK. Just found on 'Scene - Stevenson is now officially named as one of the candidates. I have to say I was very surprised he wasn't in the original list, as I personally have him up there with Kovalev for the #1 spot.

    Just a bump really, but I also like to think that the level of activity over the year ought to be a significant factor, which is one of the reasons I have Stevenson and Kovalev out in front. Both have given us 4 fights this year whereas the other nominees (except Golovkin) have only fought twice.

    He does, but The 2013 award should be about what has been done in 2013 - if Floyd had won both titles in 2013 it woulda been a huge achievement, but beating Guerrero whose success was mainly at LW (despite beating the deeply flawed Berto) is not a FOTY win IMO. 'Nelo can be sold I suppose, based on his (heavily padded) record, but for me it was never likely to present the kind of danger of Cotto for instance.

    Floyd will get his recognition in lifetime achievement awards, the IBHOF, Fighter of the decade or in his claim as an ATG, but IMO hasn't done more than the other nominees this year.

    Curious - 100 votes in and it is remarkably divided. Personally I'd expected a more partisan division of votes with FMJ and GGG fans voting very strongly. I'd also anticipated Stevenson ahead of Kovalev with DSG also getting more support than Bradley.

    I'm going to keep this one bumped as long as I can to maximise the number of votes, and I would encourage anyone who hasn't done so to vote and comment:- BF24 remains a major boxing source and it ain't impossible that the writers who vote for the BWAA fighter of the year will take your opinions onboard.
