K9 is backing Ali; his buddy sitting next to him is rooting for Wilson.

I'm going to hazard a guess that Bronco McKart is no longer at Wayne State Fieldhouse.

 

I have no idea what round we're in, and this event isn't using ring card girls for some reason. I'm going to strain to hear the ring announcer when the bell rings at the start of the next round but it'll be hard to hear him over K9 yapping.

 

Bundrage "thinks" we're in R5.

He says Wilson has won at least two rounds, pressuring nonstop because he doesn't respect Ali's power. He also says Ali is carrying a little paunch, maybe slowing down his evasive movements.

 

Commey had an opponent change, btw - instead of Fernando Saucedo he fought William Demond "Action" Jackson... who is 0-4-1 in his last five bouts dating back eleven years. Jackson's last win was in 2014.

 

Ali having a good 6th, not getting touched once as he floats around the ring throwing pot shot jabs and flurries.

 

Wilson bulled in and landed some nice body shots but starting to get pieced up as the seventh goes along. Bundrage thinks he might be hurt.

 

Ali has won the 5th-8th. So, even if we go by Bundrage saying Wilson won two rounds in the first four he still now needs a KO.

 

Wilson keeps spitting his gum shield out. Probably a point deduction if he does it again.

 

Ali feeling himself in the ninth...hit a little Ali shuffle and put both arms behind his back and then landed a pair of hard body shots from outside.

K9 kept saying that before he found out about the card he didn't have any plans and would've spent the day "laying around, doing nothing...probably sleeping".

I appreciate him providing a ringside view...but probably won't use a live stream of his again in the future unless it's a last resort. Couldn't hold the camera steady, and would not stop talking. Since knows pretty much everyone in the Detroit scene, it was a constant deluge of "hey [name]! you good? you know! one love!"; in between which he would talk about his own career with his boys, or shout advice into the ring.

 

This was Ali's first fight in six years and 3 months...and first win since Mauricio Herrera in 2018.

He didn't get the stoppage but - he never was a big puncher.
