Considering the logic on this thread, I guess Tyson and Mayweather aren't Americans... they're Africans!

If Donaire sucked, not many Americans would be claiming him...

Speak for yourself. I could potentially compete for two other countries but wouldn't because I grew up here in Canada and have way more pride in my place of birth than my heritage.

People in this thread need to understand the difference between ones nationality and ones background. Donaire is Filipino-American.

Ok Americans will not include Donaire as an American, even though he has American citizenship, lived in this country longer then any other, and constantly competed for America in international tournaments.

So that leaves, Hopkins, Ward, Bradley, and Mayweather who'll all be on the P4P top 10 list by next year. Thats 5% of the worlds population, 40% of the boxers in the top 10.

    Suck a dick bitches.

well donaire is technically american, but it's clear that he considers himself to represent the phillipines instead, never seen him with an american flag.. and the usa have more active boxers than pretty much any other country apart from maybe mexico so obviously there going to have more champions than most other countries. even so american boxing is definitely in decline, the only american who's unanimously considered a p4p top 10 is mayweather and now donaire, although americans only wanted to claim him after he knocked out montiel! to be fair i think ward will win the super six and be definite p4p material though i don't like his style.as for bradley i think he loses to khan. america doesn't care about boxing? seems to care about it more than any other country

PBF is off my list. Inactivity for almost a year and nothing in sight. He cant hold a spot hostage for more than a year.
Ward is in your top 10?

THen why did he represent the USA in international competitions?
I thought we claimed him when he got citizenship here from our government and fought for us at the junior olympics?

How many Americans show up to your average boxing event in the USA compared to countries like Mexico and countries in Europe? I'll wait.

speak for yourself bub, i'm a generation removed and i'm all for my country of birth. sorry. not everyone has patriotism for countries that directly contribute functionally very little to their daily lives.

Doesnt matter. Floyd whips your favorite fighters ass regardless. Same with Hopkins who is also inactive yet when these guys come back and fight they whip the top guys ass everytime. I wouldnt take either off the P4P list until someone proves they can beat them.

Why wouldnt he be? Undefeated titlest. Beat the so-called best super middleweight in the world.

Do you see him losing in the near future? I dont.

I forgot Brandon Rios aswell. Pencil him in for 2012.

i really hope this thought isnt in all non-US citizens. I honestly dont care if there's not an "american" in the top 10. It only says that the sport is reclaimed as an international sport and not an "american" dominated one. If this is the case, then the level of competition has increased on a world-wide scale and the sport itself have been bettered....

Once peeps realize they have ownership of ****ing NOTHING in the sport as a spectator, then alot of these insecure viewpoints are really frivalous....
