You can argue the physical aspect, but a lot of today's guys gas easily. You can't compare boxing with ANY other sport. Your chess an*logy is ridiculous. Because even if you believe that, there's fighters from the 70's, 80's and 90's that would beat lots of today's guys. How many examples do you want? Ray Robinson from 70 years ago, would probably clean out today's WW's.
HW's haven't evolved in the last 30 years as a whole. List the best HW's of the 80's. Tyson, Witherspoon, Spinks, Holmes, Page, Williams, Tubbs, Thomas, Tucker, Bruno, Douglas etc. Today we've got Wlad, Fury, Pulev, Arreola, Wilder, Povetkin etc.
owned? have you even read it he said Ademek was regularly beating top 5 heavyweights after i saw that i said leave him off
Oh ya ,adele was highly overrated at heavyweight and only got his ranking through robberies anyway, he also called him one of the most dominent heavyweights of his era, hmm does he know what dominant mean? He also said that Byrd made vitali look silly, if getting dominant for 10 rounds is making someone look silly then I guess Hopkins made kovalev look silly
As much as I disliked Foreman's technique and strategy, he actually had very good timing. I would also say the fighters in his era were actually a lot better and more technical, so it was more of a surprise that he became world champion. Minus the Klitsckos he would easily dominate today's era. In some ways Carl Froch reminds me of Foreman.
The point is, if boxing has evolved like how you claim it has, and size is so important, then a guy like Adamek should have been nowhere near anyone's top ten, and he should have been crushed by ease against everyone who he fought. That's the point he was making to you. Skills are more important than size, and boxing does not evolve in the same way as other sports have, and it certainly has not evolved in the last 30 years. There's literally hundreds of examples to give. Today's HW's as a whole are no better than the HW's of the 80's and 90's. Just list them. There's also guys from the 60's and 70's that would go through most of today's guys. You could also go back even further if you wanted to.
He was basically his generations Frank Bruno. A guy packing lots of power but not much else. He'd barely s****e the top 20 in the modern era.
